- The Foundation is the Dragon of the story; it is very likely that it is either directly or surreptitiously under Jove's control. Considering the complex conceptual space of conspiracy and ritual, it certainly would be able to empower angels.
- Jove is none other than "Jehovah," which means that all the angels in the story are (or pretend to be) subservient to him. Considering Malcolm's story, the Israelites may have been more correct than he guessed, although the details might differ.
- This also means that Malcolm might just be wrong about the Israelites' claim regarding Sodom and Gemorrah; the "wrath" was very likely orchestrated by Jove, who would not have fled in terror of the Sodomites. After all, it was the actions of the angels that destroyed Sodom and Gemorrah, and their power is such that even Malcolm is terrified of using the power he inherited from their genetics.
- Alan Ruby is actually a demonstration of the Third Point in the five points project. In essence, his racism is the "Vigor of Steam," and Alan's "Lightning for Hire" gave him the ability to access Malcolm's power.
