Beware of unmarked spoilers - WMG pages are always Spoilers Off
- It probably won't be the Dire Wraiths, as Hasbro does own them along with Rom.
- The seeming conflict is actually the Kree stirring things up and making the Skrulls mistrust each other, leading both sides to think the other is betraying them.
- Jossed as of the show's premiere, given Gravik (the supposed leader of the Skrull faction) is the Big Bad.
- Episode 2 establishes that not all Skrulls are on board with Gravik's plan.
- Yon-Rogg, given that Starforce member Bron-Char is shown to be in the first trailer, and he was the leader of the group. Plus, Yon-Rogg would likely want revenge on humanity for his failure to subjugate them in Captain Marvel.
- Jossed.
- Soren, given her involvement with Spider-Man in Far From Home, and her close relationship with Talos.
- Confirmed...but only mentioned in the show proper due to her dying off-screen before the events of this series. note
- Talos's daughter, now all grown up and perhaps trying to keep human-Skrull relationships civil, due to spending much of her childhood on Earth.
- Confirmed. G'iah is a major character in this series.
- Jimmy Woo, seeing as though he's already aware of Skrulls in WandaVision, and the chances of the FBI getting involved in a shapeshifting alien espionage thriller seems likely.
- Jossed
- Carol Danvers. As she pointed out back in Captain Marvel, her Photon Blasts (and her powers in general) make her easy to be trusted, as the Skrulls can not replicate her ability.
- Jossed. According to Word of God, Carol will not appear in the series.
- Moon Knight. With the series (appearing) to partially take place in the UK, Mark/Steven/Jake could make a small cameo in the series. Thankfully Spector's power can not be replicated!
- Jossed
- A still alive Maria Rambeau.
- Jossed
- Darcy Lewis.
- Jossed
- Gravik will turn out to be the MCU equivalent to the Super-Skrull.
- Potentially Confirmed, as Gravik names drop "Super-Skrull" in Episode 3.
- Confirmed by Vanity Fair. Clarke is playing G'iah, which is the name of Talos's now fully-grown daughter.
- Alternatively, he'll be a version of Fury's father, Jack Fury.
- The official trailer hints that Fury's dad was also named Nicolas Fury and that his grave is a safehouse
- Jossed for the Grave Theory as of Episode 5 reveals the grave is a decoy grave.
- The official trailer hints that Fury's dad was also named Nicolas Fury and that his grave is a safehouse
- As a bonus, he'll be played by David Hasselhoff.
- Jossed.
- Well, Ronan was nearly impossible to kill with either conventional weapons/blasters to even missiles and explosions as would any Kree. Skrulls go down very easily (there’s no indication they completely inherit the impersonated species’ powers or even physiology), so this might not be possible.
- Jossed.
- Nick Fury (not counting the previous impersonation by Talos)
- Confirmed...TWICE. Gravik changes into Fury, which leads to Maria Hill's death and Fury being framed. AND G'iah poses as Fury in the Finale to gain the abilities of the Harvest.
- Maria Hill (not counting the previous impersonation by Soren)
- Jossed. Gravik kills her while he dons Nick Fury's appearance.
- Everett Ross
- Confirmed. A Skrull warrior took away his identify.
- Rhodey / War Machine
- Confirmed
- USA President Ritson
- Sharon Carter
- Sonya Falsworth
- Elektra
- Agent Woo
- Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine
- Talos's human form (to set him up)
- Semi-confirmed. Talos disguises himself as two other people at the start of the series. He is often seen in his regular human form afterwards.
- Fully Confirmed for Episode 3, where one of Gravik's allies briefly impersonates Talo's voice.
- One of the Dora Milaje (Okoye, Ayo, Aneka)
- Director Tyler Hayward
- Dr. Selvig
- Members of the Global Repretration Council
- Jasper Sitwell (with the real Sitwell still alive in captivity and his "death" was an impostor Skrull)
- Melina Vostokoff (this would explain why she isn't a member of the Thunderbolts)
- Ralph Bohner
- Xu Xialing
- Valkyrie
- Abigail Brand
- Kang
- Priscilla
- Jossed. Priscilla is actually a Skrull posing as a Human and not a impersonation.
- Confirmed Skrull Impersonations: Everett Ross, Nick Fury(x2!), Talos, Rhodey
- Confirmed. Episode 2 begins in 1997, while Episode 3 begins in 1998.
- Well Valentina being Fury's ex wife looks unlikely as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reveals Valentina is instead the ex-wife of Everett Ross.
- Granted, Valentina could be a Serial Spouse.
- Fury does have a wife, but it's not Valentina. Though this fact doesn't Joss the theory.
- Valentina does not appear in the series
- Jossed. Talos is only alligned with Fury, as he no longer leads the Skrulls. It's G'iah who is the double agent.
- Jossed.
- Confirmed. Brand will be played by Clarke.
- Double-jossed. The rumors were false; Clarke will actually play Talos's daughter. Brand did not appear in the show.
- Jossed, but she and the Flerkens will appear in The Marvels.
- Why did Talos and Soren return to Earth? And what was the purpose of impersonating Fury and Maria Hill?
- After the events of Captain Marvel Talos and Soren worked in gathering intelligence for Fury. However, the reason for the impersonation in Spider-Man: Far From Home is still unclear.
- Whether Fury and Hill were actually dusted in Avengers: Infinity War, or if it was Talos and Soren impersonating as them?
- The series confirms that Fury was indeed dusted.
- When did the Skrulls return to Earth after Captain Marvel? Or did some Skrulls remain on Earth in secret?
- The show confirms that some Skrulls remained on Earth post Captain Marvel. Fury offered temporary refuge, on the condition that Skrulls disguise themselves as Human. Fury only intended this as temporary measure, while a new location for the Skrull are found. However, the Skrulls were never able to find a new home by 2025. In addition, Talos secretly relocated all remaing Skrulls to Earth for safe refuge.
- The whereabouts of the real Maria Hill. And why she wasn't with Fury on the S.W.O.R.D. spaceship?
- Maria remained working on Earth, as it was Fury who chose to leave Earth.
- Why Fury left Earth after Avengers: Endgame, and where is the S.W.O.R.D spaceship heading to? And why did Fury suddenly return back to Earth?
- Fury appeared to be haunted from being snapped during Infinity War and decided to volunteer to work at the spaceship S.A.B.E.R. He returned to Earth, after Talos tipped Maria off about the Skrulls.
- Jossed.
- Episode 4 ends with an already wounded Talos getting stabbed by Gravik and left on the ground...
- CONFIRMED. Talos is declared dead in Episode 5.
If Quake is set to appear, she would likely be a retconned version of Quake, to distance the MCU from Agents of Shield and to omit her backstory as "Skye".
- Jossed. Daisy doesn't appear.
- Jossed.
- Or the actual "10 Rings" will be revisited, with the focus on the surprise beacon in the rings. This could reveal the intended recipient. (Kree, Skrulls, S.W.O.R.D., Eternals)
- Jossed.
- Jossed. Gravik's main priorities are to oppose Humans.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Rhodey is confirmed to appear and will play a role in at least one episode. The Skrulls want to get their hands on Tony's tech and their plans will lead said tech winding up in criminal hands.
- The Rhodey we see in Secret Invasion will be revealed as a Skrull impostor, but we'll also discover the real one is still alive. Armor Wars will then focus on the real Rhodey coming back, being really pissed at what has happened in his absence, and cleaning up the various messes made by his now deceased impostor.
- Confirmed in Marvel's press interviews that Secret Invasion will connect to Armor Wars.
- Likely Jossed.
- Episode 2 implied they are not allies...for now.
- Mixed. Sonya briefly pretends to be against Fury in the Finale, but it's just a ruse against "Rhodey"/Ravaa.
- A retconned version of Victoria Hand
- Sally Blevins (Skids)
- Abigail Brand
- Jossed.
- Jessica Drew
- A recasted version of Anne Weaver
- Danielle Moonstar
- Kitty Pryde
- Katherine Waynesboro
- A gender swapped existing character
- An original character
- Pre-Confirmed. Woodard will play an original character named Priscilla, who is rumored to be a S.W.O.R.D. agent and Fury's secret wife.
- Confirmed. Episode 2 reveals that Varra (AKA Priscilla) is indeed Fury's Wife...and is a Skrull posing a human.
- Scenario 1: Valentina knows that Skrulls will be less likely to pose as known criminals to infiltrate Earth's governments. Because of this, Valentina knows she can easily trust criminals who just want a 2nd chance with life, over the widely know heroes that might be Skrulls in disguise.
- Scenario 2: Valentina is working with the Skrulls. The Thunderbolts will be framed as "the heroes who saved Earth from the Skrulls." But in reality, Valentina and the Skrulls use the Thunderbolts to conqueror the planet, with the Thunderbolts becoming a "World Police" militia.
- Scenario 3: Valentina is not aligned with the Skrulls, but uses the alien invasion to give herself power via the Thunderbolts. She paints the team as heroes stopping the invasion, but in reality, she is only forming the team for her own gain.
- Because Valentina did not appear in the series, the theory can not be confirmed or denied yet. However, scenario #2 is likely jossed, due to Gravik's faction of Skrulls opposing Humans.
- In Episode 1, it is revealed that Everett Ross was being impersonated by a Skrull. The location of the real Ross is unknown.
- Episode 8 reveals that Everett Ross was being held hostage by the Skrulls. It's unclear when the real Ross was swapped out for the imposter.
- Sadly Jossed.
- Confirmed, Talos's actions to save President Ritson is caught on camera and aired to the world.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Ritson dies during Secret Invasion and (presumed) Vice President Thunderbolt Ross takes over the duties.
- Ritson is severely injured during Gravik's attack in Episode 4. But he is still alive in Episode 5.
- Ritson is a Skrull posing as the President. This is why Fury returned to Earth, as he knows that Ritson is a fake.
- This would also explain Ritson's hostile attitude to Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as he is trying to weaken U.S.-Wakanda relations.
- Likely Jossed. Raava still poses as Rhodey in front of Ritson.
- This would also explain Ritson's hostile attitude to Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as he is trying to weaken U.S.-Wakanda relations.
- The Skrull Invasion becomes public, causing Ritson to lose reelection or he resigns in disgrace.
- This is the most likely theory for Ritson's exit. In Episode 6, Ritson declares lethal force against all extraterrestrial beings on Earth. Fury warns him that his actions are of a "One Term President".
- Gravik names drop "Super-Skull" in Episode 3.
- His personality isn't so much Hate Sink, but his naiveté borders on Too Dumb to Live.
- Confirmed. Ritson goes too far after he learns of the existence of Skrulls. He declares lethal force to all extraterrestrial beings on Earth. Not only are his actions hypocritical (after he was saved by Talos), but he also puts other individuals lives in jeopardy from the declaration.
- Blazing Skull
- Captain Britain
- Retcon Version of Elektra
- Spider-Woman
- All Jossed
- Mystique
- Sin
- Silver Surfer
- All Jossed
- Jossed.
- Confirmed. Soren was allegedly killed off by Gravik or his people. However, she wasn't the only victim, as Episode 1 ends with Maria Hill's death.
- Jossed, Fury lives!
- Confirmed, Twice! Gravik briefly impersonates Fury in Episode 1, where he fatally wounds Maria AND G'iah poses as Fury in Episode 6.
- Jossed. It was the real Fury.
- Valentina (because she has a habit of doing so)
- Jossed. According to Word of God, Val will not appear in the series.
- Thunderbolt Ross
- Captain Marvel
- Maria Rambeau
- Phil Coulson
- Daisy Johnson
- Melinda May
- Sharon Carter
- Peggy Carter
- Hank Pym
- All Jossed.
- Episode 1 ends with Maria Hill being shot to death by Gravik while he's disguised as Nick Fury. Though Fury is apprehended briefly, no one actually frames him.
- In Episode 4, "Skrull Rhodey" threatens Fury over the footage of Gravik as Fury shooting Maria. The episode reveals that Fury wasn't shooting at a government helicopter, but rather at helicopter helmed by rogue Skrulls posing as Russians.
- Officially Confirmed. The staged video is released to the public in Episode 5.
- Disney+ in the United Kingdom slapped a "Parental Advisory" message on promotional material for the show. Coincidence?
- Jossed.
- Unlikely. Skrulls revert back to their true form upon death, while Hill's body remains unchanged after she dies.
- While Maria was not a Skrull, it's still possible that her wound wasn't actually fatal. Much like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Fury may have her recuperating from her bullet wound, under the pretense that she "died". This would also explain why Fury's grief over Maria is oddly subdued, despite his close relationship with Maria.
- Jossed...for now.
- So far, The show have Nick Fury in his vulnerable state and the event of Avengers: Infinity War really affected him both emotionally and physically that cause him to feel very vulnerable with everyone (including Talos and Rhodey) begins to doubting him. But at the end of the show, Fury will make an epic comeback once he overcome his issues and proves to everyone why he's Nick Fury. If Secret Invasion takes place before The Marvels (2023), Fury seemed to go back to his old self again.
- G'iah will finally realize how crazy Gravik is, and how he really doesn't care about the other Skrulls he claims to champion. She will try to do a Heel–Face Turn, only for Garvik to catch on and set up her death. It will be done in a way where Talos witnesses it but can't stop it.
- Confirmed? Episode 3 ends with G'iah being shot.
- JOSSED. G'iah survives! She previously gave herself the Super Skrull procedure, which led to her surviving her bullet wound.
- Neither confirmed nor jossed so far: G'iah was shot at the end of episode 3, episode 4 reveals she survived this. She may yet die by, or in, the finale. And given the usual "Death is temporary" treatment, Talos might be back to see it happen.
- JOSSED. G'iah survives! She previously gave herself the Super Skrull procedure, which led to her surviving her bullet wound.
- Jossed. G'iah survives the series.
- Mixed, but Confirmed. G'iah was shot, but survived the wound thanks to Extremis.
- Confirmed in episode 4. A female Skrull AKA Ravaa has been posing as Rhodey. Fury figured this out from the phone call that Varra made to "Rhodey" in his presence in episode 3, and then eavesdropped on her meeting with "Rhodey" at the church at the start of episode 4.
- Not biologically likely in Fury's case. Fury did not meet Varra until 1997, where Gravik had already been born. The only ways this is could still be possible, is if either Fury unknowingly slept with a disguised Varra or the Skrulls obtained Fury's genetic material to conceive Gravik. Granted, Fury could still have adopted Gravik as a surrogate son.
- I'm going with no; while it's not clear how Skrulls age compared to humans, Varra introduced Gravik to Fury in 1997 as a child seemingly older than G'iah was at the time, and says his parents died fighting the Kree. This is two years after Fury first met Talos and the other Skrulls hiding on Mar-Vell's orbiting lab. The timeline makes it impossible for Fury to be Gravik's father, and Gravik's actions in 1997 make it highly unlikely Varra is his mother.
- Jossed.
I'm kinda half-joking about this. It is something I've genuinely started wondering, as he's almost certainly far and away the most expensive actor yet to star in a Marvel Studios television show.
- Jossed, quite the opposite happens. Gravik is taken out and the imprisoned Humans are freed. But what is worse, is that President Ritson's "no tolerance" approach to any alien life forms, lead to vigilante killings of several Skrulls and innocent victims.
- Jossed. The tracker liquid is longer relevant after Gravik's attack.
- Or like humans, they were born mutants and only survived the Super Skrull procedure because of that.
- If they are now Mutants, then this would be the first live action appearance of Alien Mutants for Marvel.
He has been nothing but be a selfish, hypocritical, and murderous person, since besides letting one Skrull go, he had Pagon execute Brogan for revealing information about the latter’s plans to Sonya when she was interrogating him about
Even if Fury gives The Harvest that was from The Avengers, he will likely break his deal and will start the Invasion, while telling Fury that he lied about his end of the deal.
- In the end of the series, Gravik doesn't get the opportunity to take out Fury. G'iah immediately breaks her ruse as Fury, just after the Harvest is administered.
Once Gravik starts the War or otherwise goes too far, the rest of them (presumably excluding Raava) will turn against him and will side with Fury, along with his allies like Sonya.
- Confirmed. After Talos's and Pagon's deaths, the Skrulls attempt a Mutiny on Gravik in Episode 5. However, the mutiny fails.
- Confirmed in Episode 5, with Pagon chewing Gravik out in front of the other Skrulls. It doesn't end well for Pagon though...
Because of how The Skrulls that are working for Gravik have been doing crimes due to Captain Marvel and Talos not giving their word or promise on giving them a home.
Once he takes Gravik down hopefully, he will apologize to will finally help The Skrulls find a new home for them to live on.
- Jossed. It's G'iah and Sonya who choose to work with each other, with the intent for Skrulls to remain on Earth.
The last time that we saw him was only in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which was only as a cameo in the first episode.Because of how his actions have done nothing but cause danger for the worst he has done over the series, it would make sense since he has done nothing but be abusive to even his own allies.
- Confirmed in the Finale.
- Confirmed. G'iah kills him in the finale.
- The theory is potentially hinted at the end of Episode 6, where the real Rhodey is found wearing a hospital gown.
- Jossed, Don Cheadle still potrays the real Rhodey.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Jossed.
- Jossed, but the unrelated Everett Ross appears!
- Jossed. There are no end credits.
- Jossed. There are no end credits.
- Armor Wars may also tie-in the rebelling employees of Stark Industries, whom appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
- Confirmed. Fury never mentioned the Skrull Invasion on Earth.
