Katia's lowest point is still ahead of her.
… and when it arrives, it will make getting robbed by Sigrid look like nothing. Following her latest setback, Katia will get back on her feet, and there will be an even longer period of things looking up. Katia will become involved in (a) quest(s) more important than delivering letters. Then something bad will happen. Disaster will strike. Everything our hero achieves will be undone. Overcoming this will be the zenith of Katia's character development. "Holy Shit!" Quotient will be high. Mark my words.

Katia is the Champion of Cyrodiil.
She's got quite a ways before she's going to be closing shut any jaws.

Gharug gro-Upp's luck will run out, resulting in his death

His death may be at Katia's hand, possible due to his sole piece of bad luck up until this point rendering him unable to wear a ring of fire resistance. Either that or Asotil will find him.

  • Seeing as how he's a Highway you kill in Oblivion, we already know how he dies, and assuming Katia is the prisoner, it will be by Katia's hand.
    • How can you be so sure about that? Gharug looks like a completely random character, unless there IS a bare-chested Orc bandit who looks always the same appering somewhere in the game...

Prequel is a tragedy, and things will not end well for Katia.

It's well and good to say she must be the hero and that, but, well, the hero in Oblivion has a really boring story. Kazerad has done an exceptional job in showing us how NPCs and such can be extremely interesting characters in their own right. It would follow that Katia could be herself a very minor character. She may very well have a significant effect on events that would follow, but there's a lot more roles in a story other than The Hero.

Katia's luck and willpower are her Dumpstats.
Aggy: Extrapolate implies that Katia is exceptionally gifted at lateral thinking, linguistics, memorization, and is generally a straight-up genius without ever trying. So, Katia might have a ridiculous Intelligence stat, but her terrible luck and lack of willpower give her an incredibly defeatist outlook on her own life. If she manages work at a problem, she can solve it easily.

ASOTIL has synesthesia.

In Katia: Clean up, he says, "The song of Justice cannot be extinguished and the glorious light of the Empire be silenced." This is not the first time he has made that switch.(though it is the first time he's used both at once)

Katia's phobia and distrust of nobles has to do with incident's that occurred earlier in her life

Katia's nightmares are about Mannimarco
Considering that even Vaermina knows nothing about Katia's and Gaius's nightmare's meaning they most likely come from some entity who is higher up on the cosmological ladder. This entity (probably from one of the Divines) is trying to warn about Mannimarco plan that involves the Dragonborn emperor. It's probably Katia's destiny to stop Mannimarco's plan.

The real reason Katia is afraid of Martin is that he has a completely different voice
It probably doesn't help that it's Sean Bean's voice.

Prequel will end with Katia being arrested
She'll make it to the Imperial City, and her bad luck will get her into some legal trouble. The last image will be Katia sitting in a cell, as the text informs us that it is the 27th of Last Seed.
  • A single file will be provided at the very end without comment. It's a save file. Guess what for.

Prequel will end with Katia achieving CHIM as she's being arrested
And it will be the Happiest Gainax Ending Ever.

Alternatively, Prequel's last update would be a Happy Ending masked as a Downer Ending
Katia will be sitting in a damp, dark jail cell across from a rude dunmer guy that shouts insults and taunts at her reminding her how worthless she is. And then she will have a long monologue about how all her efforts have been for nothing, how she never had a chance to begin with and how no one who ever got in jail beforehand ever became a great person or achieved anything of value. It would be a massive Tear Jerker... for anyone who doesn't realize what's going to happen.

Katia's nightmares are preventing her from leveling up
Leveling in Oblivion happens when a character sleeps, but every time Katia sleeps it's either a terrifying nightmare or a drunken stupor. She's incapable of getting a full, restful night's sleep, and that keeps her from leveling up despite improving her skills. Once she finds a way to stop the nightmares, she'll fall asleep and literally Take a Level in Badass.

Katia's original first name was "Earra"
Mentioned by herself in a tavern in Anvil while she was drunk. She mentioned that she's fuckin’ EARRA-sistipple
  • That was just her very drunken attempt to say "irresistible." Her previous name has yet to be revealed.

Hermaeus Mora is investigating the nightmares as well.
Hermaeus Mora has already cameo'd in a nightmare sequence along with contacting Vaermina. However, Vaermina admits this particular type of nightmare isn't her fault, and it's likely if they were going to talk about it then it's unnecessary to gambit pileup. This likely discounts him from sending it, because presumably with that much personal monitoring they'd risk slipping up.

Azura is sending the nightmares.
Azura has been shown to send dreams before in Morrowind and is associated with both dark elves and khajiit (hence why she might have picked Katia as the second target). Vaermina initially exhausted her suspicions entirely thinking it had something to do with the province of Morrowind or Molag Bal's vampirism, so it's possible Azura has just gotten really good at hiding it and/or pinning it on Dagoth Ur instead.

Katia's nightmares are correlated to The Warp In The West.
She mentioned that they started when she was around four, and she was born in 413. Since her family was in Hammerfell, maybe the Illiac Bay region in 417, she would have been there when the localized dragon break occurred. And considering that sometimes those nightmares have what looks like a fusion of Uriel Septim VII and the Underking...

Katia's will learn Shocking Grasp and Turn Undead among other spells
she already possesses Flare and Conjure Skeleton, meaning Destruction and Conjuration are two of her major skills, so its just a given she will have the other spells those start you with by the end of the comic and given her love of magic she will likely have other magic schools as her major skills, considering how easily she got the skeleton to be weirded out and want to leave she arguably already has turn undead

How well does it match the trope?
