- Let's face it, the end of Friendship Games teased us with the prospect of the alternate selves of various characters meeting each other. It's only a matter of time before more such encounters occur.
- After Human Twilight, this is another obvious way to take the alternate selves thing. After Sunset, you could do Human Starlight or Human Discord as well.
- Cinch will return, having undergone quite a bit of Sanity Slippage and gotten her hands on a magical item, in order to take revenge on the girls–especially Human Twilight.
- The Dazzlings will return, maybe as Cinch's Co-Dragons (Adagio, of course, will be conspiring to ursurp her). They'll have heard about the leaking magic and are hoping to use it to restore their own powers.
- The leaking magic will create a Monster of the Week formula by corrupting anyone who's experiencing negative emotions (a la Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja or Miraculous Ladybug).
- Sunset Shimmer: Pyrokinesis (relating to her phoenix motif)
- Twilight Sparkle: Teleportation, magical blasts (to put her more in line with her Equestrian counterpart)
- Applejack: Terrakinesis, plant control (mostly coming from the fact that she's a farmer)
- Fluttershy: Animal transformation, healing touch (in line with her role as an animal caretaker)
- Rarity: The ability to summon infinite "dramatic couches" that she can chuck at her enemies (for Rule of Funny more than anything)
- Pinkie Pie: Limited precognition (her "Pinkie Sense")
- Rainbow Dash: Aerokinesis, electrokinesis, weather manipulation (any one of those would be in line with her character)
- And it will be amazingly heartwarming with a song in the background.
- It's all in the title, really. That, and Fluttershy's "the revenge?" comment seems to signify that Tirek's playable.
Flash was literally crushed by a robot that not only destroyed the gym but could rival a fight with the transformed mane 7 (and even with the magic of friendship it was not completely destroyed). The chances of him surviving were low and he at the very least should have been badly injured, but he survived with just a few scratches and appeared to have fully recovered a few seconds later. Pony Flash is a royal guard and his Cutie Mark is a shield, both implying he's probably stronger or more resistant than the average stallion.
The series makes it clear that magic in that world is only activated without the influence of amulets when a character is able to connect with their element (Sunset confirms that new elements can be created) or forms the connection with another person. The moment when Flash gets squished is a great display of trust. Flash genuinely believes the girls are going to save the day and is willing to get hurt for them, at the same time Sandalwood who took over the song sings about how awesome he thinks Flash is and makes it clear that as Flash trusts girls, Sandalwood trusts Flash, this forms the perfect environment for the magic of friendship to be activated.
