Ash unintentionally made himself the Chosen One through a time loop
- In the Jewel of Life snippet, the past Arceus is genuinely surprised of Ash's accomplishments. There was no Chosen One prophecies at this point in time, so the past Arceus made them because he knew Ash would later fulfill them.
- Which might be why in Mark 2, Arceus made Ash a Mew. True, it was Arceus who created him after Celebi informed Him about what would happen if he took a nap, but maybe he got the idea from then somehow.
