What is Walt's role in Lakeview Cabin 2?

Alright, so to start with I'm pretty sure Walt is the one who appears in The Epilogue section of the previous game and was the one who committed the original murders the horror franchise is based off. However, The man himself is quite the mystery: He MIGHT have built the Episode 1 house or was involved in some fashion, he also had a penthouse hotel room SPECIALLY for him since his body is found in it in Episode 2, and in Epsiode 3 he had his own film studio.

  • Not to mention the films produced from said studio seem to have a supernatural element to them, since the Episode 1 bonus kicks off due to watching an aliens movie which SUMMONS ACTUAL ALIENS, the actors that stared in the films are targeted for SOME reason in Episode 2, and THEN there's absolutely everything about Episode 3 since someone is basically stuck inside a movie disc, and Walt himself MIGHT have come back specifically from this disc as well.

Who is the man with the red gloves?

In Episode 1, there is a photo in the house you can look at that has a man wearing red gloves just out of shot. This man ALSO appears holding the film takes in the films you can watch in the house lobby, so I assume he is the director of the films... but why is his body hidden in the shed under the floorboard with a silver necklace? And why, in Episode 2, can you find his dead body in a sealed up room that has the key to Walt's penthouse? Was he killed by the cult for revealing too much of their inner secrets to the world via the Lakeview Cabin horror films? Or was he killed because he was no longer useful and knew too much about the REAL Lakeview Cabin murder incident to be left alive?

  • The later question is actually revealed in Episode 3: The body we find in episode 2 is actually the Old Man who was watching the films we play in Episode 3. He as killed with the Red Sword by SOMEONE inside the con, so the big question is - Who is it that has the red sword in Episode 2?

The Lakeside Hotel is actually an entrance to the Underworld

In Lakeview Valley, there is a black house with a red window, and sleeping inside that house transports you to the Underworld. Now, the Episode 2 Hotel is also black, has a red window and the very top is lined by statues that look suspiciously like the demons you find in the Underworld. Also, the keys you need to escape also have their shape - It's very possible Walt was planning to become a Upper Echelon Demon via his revival plot (if it is indeed his).

The fictional Lakeview Cabin 2 film is being hidden for a reason
One of the things that is a re-occurring theme is that the fictional "Lakeview Cabin 2" film seems to have been pulled from cinemas from the previous game, but in this game there are also other odd features like how the movie poster is outright missing in the director's basement - I think it's possible that during the recording of the film, they managed to accidentally get The Dweller on film - in other words, the film is being suppressed from the public eye because something clearly supernaturally happened during the shooting of that movie.
