WMG / LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

The Fantastic Four will appear
  • Kang is an alternate dimension desendants of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, it wouldn't make sense for them not to appear
    • If they don't appear, then they will at least get a mention, since one of their main villains was the final boss in the last game.
      • Confirmed. The FF don't appear, but they do get a mention.
The Power Pack will appear as playable characters
  • And since the game focuses around Alternate Universes and has Kang as the main antagonist, it could probably also have their Earth-TRN417 counterparts show up as playable.
Kang will be completely sidelined (and have little abilities in gameplay) so that the less-interesting Loki can once again take over and promote his everlasting superiority to Marvel's other villains
Fool me once, shame on you TT Games, fool me twice, shame on me.
  • Jossed. Kang remains the main villain throughout, with Loki only popping up a couple times.
The X-Men will be involved
The whole time travel story would be a great opportunity to use the characters modeled after the recent movies. Maybe one of the alternate times that the storyline visits is a future ruled by Sentinels, forcing the heroes to go back to the 1970's and prevent it from happening.
  • On top of this, it seems kind of a waste to have Ancient Egypt in a fairly prominent role and not include Apocalypse.
The Spider-Verse event will have major representation
I mean, we already have both the whole space-time journey thing, and Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man: Noir, and Miles Morales confirmed as playable characters. As such, we should probably expect more Spider-Men in the future like Spider-Cyborg, Spider-UK, Aaron Aikman, Anansi the Spider-God, Arachnosaur, Spider-Ham, Mayday Parker, Takuya Yamashiro along with his partner Leopardon, etc.
Nathaniel Richards could play an important role in the story
Considering that he is the past version of Kang the Conqueror before he decided not to become Kang the Conqueror and the fact that time travel is involved, he could join the heroes in the fight against Kang, even donning the
Iron Lad identity.
Jamaal, the butler of the Egyptian Avengers, could appear as a playable character
Since the Egyptian Avengers have been announced to be playable in the game, I think their butler should be playable as well. I mean, if LEGO Batman can have Alfred, then why not?
The Merry Marvel Marching Society song will return as the credits theme
It'll probably be either the original or a remix sung by the cast of heroes in the game. Have fun imagining Rocket Raccoon, Miguel O'Hara, Kamala Khan and the Hulk singing a few octaves of this tune.
There will be a Disney themed DLC Pack
Why, because three words. Also, since [1] is about going into alternate dimensions, why not a team-up with Captain Marvel and Star Butterfly? In addition, why not the Disney Originals cosplaying as the Marvel Super Heroes?List of Characters that would be Playable as DLC:
The third Game will be based on 2015!Secret Wars
There will be DLC with levels based on the MCU Movies
The movies that would be given DLC
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
    • Confirmed
  • Spider-Man Homecoming
    • Jossed
  • Doctor Strange
    • Jossed
Confirmed, with Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War and Ant Man and the Wasp all recieving DLC packs.
Thanos will have a large role in the game.
Due to the fact that Avengers: Infinity War is coming out the very next year.

Spider-Man's voice actor will be
Robbie Daymond, to tie in with the new Spider-Man TV series.

The Fantastic Four and X-Men will be DLC.

The Hydra Four cement their Heel–Face Turn and become heroes for the Hydra Empire world in the footsteps of the old ones Hydra modeled them after in the first place.
Having initially turned against their bosses for how they treated them, they took influence from the Avengers as they fought alongside them, setting them on the path to real heroism. Though they start off as heroes with bad publicity due to Hydra Empire's citizen's being complacent with their oppression, they'll gradually sway public opinion in their favor while continuing to poke holes in Hydra's lies.

There will be a DLC for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Coulson and Quake are already in the game as unlockables, as is Lola. All the DLC would need to add is Melinda May, FitzSimmons, and maybe a few other show characters.

The third game will have the Fantastic Four and/or X-Men perform a Big Damn Heroes moment early on...
At which point someone will ask where they were during the Chronopolis fiasco. One of them will answer by claiming they were "dealing issues."

How well does it match the trope?
