The sphere that the Molothos launched their attack from in Challenges of the Deeps was Alpha Centauri's.
It's the closest star to Sol, so it would make a good staging area for an invading force. This series will never be faithfully adapted into a visual medium.
Clearing the rights to use the Hyperion simulations (even just the ones that appear in person or are mentioned explicitly would be pricey) would make it all but impossible to do so, even if the studio in question took an approach similar to the ones used in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wreck-It Ralph, and Ready Player One (2018).
