Doctor Doom was behind the bomb that destroyed the Fantastic Four's rocket.

He doesn't feature much in the series, but at least one panel features Doctor Doom in a fashion that suggests that, despite the way the world has changed, he is almost exactly the same as he is in the 616 universe. This would presumably include the accident that scarred him and his consequently blaming it on Reed Richards. Given that the way the timeline has changed as resulted in Reed and his friends taking their fateful rocket flight later than they otherwise would, this gives Doom plenty of time to arrange for an unfortunate 'accident' to befall proceedings in order to take his revenge.
