Team JNPR's Pokémon
The author says they have already picked what Pokémon Team JNPR will have as their starters, but has yet to share. So, what are the possibilities for Team JNPR?
  • Jaune:
    • Bagon - it starts as a wingless dragon that still jumps off cliffs to learn how to fly and is very headstrong, while Jaune was a guy that got into Beacon with little training but got ahead via determination. It spends time as a Shelgon, transforming inside a shell (much like Jaune's been improving thanks to his training) until it evolves into Salamence, which is a full-blown dragon (just as Jaune seeks to become a Huntsman to protect people). As a bonus pun, when Salamence flies, his wings form an arc.
    • Honedge - Jaune is a swordsman, and Honedge is a sword-like Pokémon. Plus, its last evolutionary stage, Aegislash, resembles a sword-and-shield combo, the same fighting style Jaune uses through Crocea Mors.
  • Pyrrha:
    • Honedge: Much like Jaune, her fighting style is the sword-and-shield, which becomes replicated with Honedge's last evolution,
    • Magnemite - it has magnetic-based powers, similar to Pyrrha's own powers.
  • Nora:
    • Tinkatink - The Tinka line is all pink and wields increasingly massive hammers, which they use to smash their targets - both things that also apply to Nora.
    • Pichu - An adorable electric Pokémon that evolves into Lightning Bruiser Pikachu and then into powerhouse Raichu, fitting in with Nora's attitude and also her electricity-powered Semblance.
  • Ren:
    • Meditite - A Fighting/Psychic Pokémon that likes to meditate seems to fit the stoic Ren.
    • Abra - A Psychic Pokémon that looks weak at first, but soon proves to be incredibly powerful, especially as it becomes Kadabra and then Alakazam.
