Other series WMG pages:
- Plausible, though this seems kind of unfair to Magenta, having to deal with awful vision every time Josh is around until she gets her glasses.
- Maybe she wore contact lenses?
- Sprinkles and Frederica were referenced in Big City Adventure via review and a puppet theater name, respectively. So, the Blue's Room part at least might be jossed. Also, Magenta could have just lost her old glasses, gotten used to not having them, and needed to readjust to having them again. Periwinkle also could have just moved back to his old home and then moved back to Blue's neighborhood again later on.
In Storybook World it's just more common for members of the same family of anthropomorphic animals to have similar names based on color. Some evidence of this is.
- The fact that there are at least 3 purple kangaroos and 3 orange kitten with the same name based on colors according to "The Mystery of the Missing Thinking Chair"
- Periwinkle has joined the neighborhood twice with two similar but different stories although the original series events that include him are still canon, he doesn't recognize Blue or the members of the neighborhood. The house probably belongs to his family.
- In the original series it is an important point that Animal Gender-Bender is avoided with Purple Kangaroo, causing him not to have a pocket , while in the reboot Purple Kangaroo is a girl with a pocket. Also her magenta kangaroo sister is nowhere to be seen.
- Duck, the giraffe and the kangaroos and cats of other colors have no counterparts in the reboot.
The most likely option for how it could work is that Josh and Blue skidoo into the world of PP, and something happens to their portal that prevents them from returning home (Humdinger steals it, perhaps?), so they call the Paw Patrol to help solve the problem. Hijinks ensue as Blue uses Blue's Clues to help save the day.
- Also, anytime Josh and Blue talk to the audience, the PAW Patrol characters act confused, as a joke regarding how PP doesn't use Fake Interactivity like BC does.
- Maybe Humdinger will sic his kitties on the Blue's Clues gang to take it over?
- Confirmed, they are appearing in the first episode.
Blue and the Playroom would all be animated, not puppets, and her ability to actually talk would still be limited to the Playroom itself. Steve and Josh would also get to meet Sprinkles!
As for why they can't just use the Playroom to effectively put the kibosh on the language barrier? Simple: going to and from the room like that just for doing that would be both exasperating after a while and ruin the sentimental value the room has for Blue. It would also effectively kill the potential to play the really great game that is Blue's Clues.
It was established in the original series that Blue and the other puppies were not native to Storybook World, but from a place called puppyville, located in the same skidoo world where Blue’s Room is, and that they were only able to speak if they were in that skidoo world, and not in the others, that is, until Rainbow Puppy was introduced. She is apparently a native of New York, can talk, and is bipedal most of the time. What's different about her from other puppies?
She is a mix of dog breeds!
The puppies from Puppyville are spotted, they are normally quadrupedal, they are animated differently from the other characters (Fully articulated in the original series, 3D in the Reboot), they have a shiny pawprint on one of their paws (which they use to spread clues)
Meanwhile in Periwinkle's old neighborhood, the puppies have the same animation as the other characters (2D), are bipedal, have striped fur instead of spotted and apparently they can talk. These are the native dogs of Storybook World.
Rainbow Puppy mixes the characteristics of both types of dogs, she is 3D, but with striped fur, she has a shiny pawprint, but she can walk on two legs and talk on any skidoo world. She was born from a mix between the two types of puppy.
