New 52!Khaji-Da is more psycho because the reboot didn't fully affect it
At the end of Jaime's series, the Scarab goes through a very violent phase due to properly rebooting during the KDRA battle. Khaji-Da has demonstrated odd responses to scientific anomalies like magic before—what if the Flashpoint reboot didn't completely reset it, so it stayed in its violent personality?

(I may be talking out of my ass—I've only read Jaime's series and his Booster Gold backups, and not his subsequent appearances in Teen Titans and whatever else.)

Ted Kord did find a way to cheat his Infinite Crisis death, only to die before Booster Gold's tie-in for Blackest Night
At the end of the arc where Booster temporarily undid Ted's death, someone did access one of Ted's bases and laughed like him, yet during Booster Gold's tie-in for Blackest Night, Ted was a Black Lantern — and they still kept the fact someone accessed the base as canon during it and stated the only ones who could access it were Michael and Ted himself. It's possible Ted, when he went back to "die", did find a way to fake his death so the timeline could be restored, then when the stuff with the Black Lanterns started, someone (possibly the Black Lantern version of one of the JLI members or even an unseen BL version of Dan Garrett) got to him and rekilled him.
