Save The Date is one of the many stories from Pixelberry's Choices: Stories You Play collection.

Make wedding dreams come true as the ultimate wedding planner! Just don't forget to choose your plus one...

Save The Date includes examples of:

  • Betty and Veronica: Simon (nice childhood friend and struggling journalist) as the Betty and Justin (brother of Nora and strict former boss) as the Veronica. Lindsay acts as the Cheryl.
  • The Cameo: At the wedding expo, Lauren runs into Kaitlyn who's about to get married herself.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: Lauren is initially uninterested in true love after she was dumped at the altar.
  • Daddy Issues: If you take the premium choice to convince Grace to be part of the wedding, she reveals that the reason she's uninterested is because she had trouble bonding with her real father and all the guys her mom dated after, so she's reluctant to try with Ken.
  • December–December Romance: The third wedding Lauren plans features a pair of High-School Sweethearts who met again through the internet.
  • Defrosting Ice King: At first, Justin acts as a cold boss to Lauren, but taking premium choices will soften them up
  • Empty Nest: If you take the premium choice to help Allegra patch things up with her mom, she reveals the reason she doesn't like Sid so much is that she's afraid that when Allegra gets married she'll be excluded from their life entirely.
  • First Person Narration: Lauren is the one who narrates the story.
  • First-Person Smartass: Unlike most other Choices books, the story is told entirely from Lauren's point of view and she has a lot of snark to tell.
  • Gay Option: Lindsay, a dressmaker.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: As with almost every Choices game, you can name your character. The default name is Lauren Jennings. The Best Man also gets this with the default name of Justin.
  • Heroic BSoD: After Nora and Monica have a fight that makes them call off the wedding, Lauren tells Justin she wants her old accounting job back.
  • Meet Cute: Most of the couples have this happen to them. Even Christina and Ken, who met through a dating site, had this when they realized their kids were in the same class all along.
  • Runaway Bride: If you choose Dale, Lauren's ex, to be female.
  • Shout-Out:
    • In Chapter 13, Lindsay has this to say outside of the Magic Island nightclub.
Lindsay: I'm scared, guys. The only club I've ever been to is Club Penguin.
    • In Chapter 14, if you bought the premium dresses for Nora and Monica and tell Monica she looks like a superhero, Lindsay has this dialogue after Monica calls her Edna Mode.
Lindsay: Wait... If I'm Edna, shouldn't there be no capes?
  • Slap-Slap-Kiss: Justin and Lauren's relationship can be described as this.
  • Tempting Fate: Usually, when you make a huge fit in front of your boss you can expect to be fired.
