The Phantom Thief Silver Cat, localized as Cat Girl, is a Visual Novel with naughty elements created with TyranoBuilder Visual Novel Studio. Published by Sakura Game, it was released on Steam on August 28, 2017.

To the public, Nekonome Ginka is simply the young daughter of a deceased plutocrat, living her days in a manor with an elderly steward and his two maid daughters. But secretly, she is the Silver Cat, a Phantom Thief with a cat motif that steals from the wicked, and her serving staff are responsible for her intel, disguises, and gadgets. Their next target, the "Emerald Queen", is a gemstone rumored to have been illegally obtained by the wealthy businesswoman Kurobara Mineko to sell on the black market. But Mineko has had her eyes on the Silver Cat for some time, and is eager to add the thief herself to her collection of treasures...

This work makes use of the following Tropes:

  • And the Adventure Continues: In the Golden Ending, Ginka doesn't let being tortured for a week stop her from immediately preparing for the next heist after her rescue.
  • Auction of Evil: Mineko plans to sell the Emerald Queen at one after using it as bait to lure Silver Cat. In one Bad End, Silver Cat herself is sold as a slave at the same event.
  • Badass Creed: The matrilineal side of Ginka's family has one, about fighting against wickedness no matter how others judge them.
  • Bleached Underpants: As per Steam's regulations, the commercial release features censored imagery (save for a couple of oversights), though dialogue makes it clear what's happening in every scene regardless.
  • Bondage Is Bad: The main focus of the story is the villainous Minkeo capturing and torturing the Silver Cat with whips, bondage, hot wax, and the like.

  • Calling Card: As seen in the introduction, the Silver Cat leaves one behind after obtaining her prize.
  • Catch-Phrase: Silver Cat's is "I'll take it Meow."
  • Cool Old Guy: Ginka's butler, who's responsible for all intelligence gathering.
  • Covert Pervert: The older of the maid siblings, who keeps very close track of Ginka's measurements when designing outfits, and who briefly gets a small nosebleed upon first imagining her mistress in a maid outfit as part of the job.
  • Determinator: Ginka constantly attempts to rescue herself from imprisonment, though she fails every time.
  • Deus ex Machina: The Golden Ending has Ginka rescued by her staff's latest invention right before she becomes Mineko's slave. It fails to appear in the Bad Ends, mainly because Mineko doesn't drop her guard and give it an opening.
  • Dominatrix: Mineko is outright called a sadomasochistic dominatrix on the Steam store page.

  • Do Well, but Not Perfect: The Golden Ending involves Ginka briefly surrendering during torture, as Mineko's guard is dropped long enough for Ginka's staff to rescue her, whereas one of the two Bad Ends involves Ginka resisting completely and Mineko deciding to just sell her to the highest bidder instead of keeping her around for amusement.
  • Family of Choice: Ginka's parents are both deceased, but she considers her staff as her family.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Ginka's younger maid, who's responsible for the creation of all her high-tech gear.
  • Goggles Do Something Unusual: Silver Cat's green goggles and cat-eared headset give her numerous perks, such as night vision and biometric readings.
  • Human Pet: Ginka is treated like one in some punishments, and becomes one permanently in a bad ending.
  • Inside Job: Ginka's original plan to pilfer the Emerald Queen involves going undercover as a maid to find its location before breaking in as Silver Cat.
  • Last-Second Ending Choice: Although the player can make choices at various points, only the very last one actually decides the ending.
  • Multiple Endings: Three. Two of them are Bad Ends, in which Ginka is sold as a slave at the Auction of Evil after refusing to break during torture (seen by choosing candle wax discipline as the Last-Second Ending Choice), or Ginka gives in and becomes Mineko's pet (seen by choosing dog-train discipline). The last is a Golden Ending (seen by choosing shock discipline), in which Ginka is saved by her staff and Mineko is punished appropriately; this ending is also the only one with credits.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: Mineko has one.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Mineko immediately sees through "Silver" the maid, but doesn't say so in Ginka's presence, as her plan is to trap Silver Cat.
  • Parental Abandonment: Both of Ginka's parents are deceased.
  • Phantom Thief: Ginka, the Silver Cat.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The maid siblings are constantly butting heads, with the elder acting as the more composed Blue, and the younger an energetic Red.
  • Replay Mode: Oddly enough, access to every CG and event is accessible from the start, rather than unlocked through playing.
  • Robot Buddy: Mouse King, the new invention that saves Ginka in the Golden Ending.
  • Skinship Grope: The first thing that Mineko does to her new maid "Silver" (actually Ginka undercover).
  • Spy Catsuit: Silver Cat's outfit, with various gadgets to match.
  • Torture Cellar: Ginka is kept in one after falling for Mineko's trap.
  • Torture Technician: Some of Mineko's attempts to make Ginka submit to her are extreme, such as waterboarding and an electric chair.
  • Video Game Cruelty Potential: The only choices the player can make are which types of torture Mineko uses on Ginka.
  • Video Game Perversity Potential: Mineko's tortures have clear sexual spins to them, such as using aphrodisiacs while whipping Ginka.
