War Dogs: Red's Return is a side-scrolling Beat 'em Up Video Game by QUByte Interactive and Mito Games.
Global Warming has progressed to the point where the human race had to turn to gene splicing to be able to survive. For some reason, this involved turning the human race into animal people.
Red is one such person in this world. A former member of the street gang called "The Orphans" (no, not those Orphans), he went off to the richer part of the city to pursue a career as a professional fighter. However, he ended up attacking the champ a but too viciously, and had to return home to go into hiding.
Not long after he returns, he discovers that another gang called "The Slaughter Club" has seized control of the neighbourhood. Now he needs to restore peace, so he takes to the streets to do that with his fists and feet.
The game was released on April 29th, 2021.
War Dogs: Red's Return contains examples of:
- Beast Man: Pretty much everyone in this world is a genetically modified animal person.
- Clean Up the Town: Red's mission is to take the streets of his neighbourhood back from the Slaughter Club.
- Crate Expectations: There are crates in the game that Red can break for items.
- Dash Attack: Red can do one. Sometimes the camera zooms in on him and everything goes into slow motion when the attack connects.
- Ground Punch: If you get Red's power meter to the final third, he can do this.
- Heroic Dog: Red, who's out to free his home from the grip of the Slaughter Club.
- Pipe Pain: L pipes are an object Red can collect and use as a temporary weapon.
- Rewarding Vandalism: Red can break crates for items.
- Spin Attack: Red can pull one of these off when his power meter is full enough.
- Three-Strike Combo: Red can pull this off.
