Go To

Venus Blood -Brave- is part of a multi-work series created by Ninetail. Unlike other entries in the series, which combines H-Game, Visual Novel, and Strategy RPG mechanics, this game is instead an H-Game Turn-Based Combat Eastern RPG. Initially released in 2017 (the 10th anniversary of the series), it has yet to receive an official international release, though translation patches are available.

The land protected by Yilan, the Goddess of Charity, has come under attack by the rising of the red Devil Moon and revival of the Demon King Lagar. Two souls, the male researcher demon Hain and the female heroine human Leona, are entrusted with the Goddess' power in order to fight back against the King's army.

This game subsequently received four NSFW Anime episodes, focusing on the corruption of the four main heroines.

Unrelated with Venus & Braves.

Tropes:

  • Artificial Human: While most Guardians are guardian spirits that bond with people, Sheila's Guardian Colonia is actually a homunculus created by Hain as part of his research.
  • Bad Moon Rising: The revival of the Demon King occurs alongside the rising of the red Devil Moon.
  • Born-Again Immortality: One fragment of the power that Yilan grants the protagonists manifests itself as a more-childish, but just as knowledgeable, version of the goddess that the cast refers to as "Chibi Yilan".
  • The Chosen One: With her powers spent and no longer capable of fending off the Demon King, Yilan entrusts Leona and Hain with the remnants of her power and the duty of saving the world from destruction.
  • The Corruptor: Hain can use his research into dark magic and the Devil Moon to boost the combat capabilities of his allies, at the expense of their mental well-being.
  • Deuteragonist: While most Venus Blood games have had the male lead and the one driving the plot be the same person, this game instead has Hain and Leona splitting the role of protagonist, with the latter being driven to slay the Demon King and the former mainly tagging along in order to apply his research techniques to her cause.
  • Draconic Humanoid: Sheila, Hain's maid, has some dragon ancestry and features. Isabella, a Sage that works for the Dragon King, is a pure-blooded dragon but still appears as human with some dragon features.
  • Intimate Healing: The male protagonist, Hain, is unable to regenerate his magical powers naturally. So instead, he absorbs it from the women he's close to, in a close and personal fashion.
  • Summon Magic: Nearly all of the playable characters have access to a "Guardian" they can summon into combat, such as Uwabami, a snake that deals both water-elemental damage and can poison enemies with its Sake.
  • Villain Protagonist: Hain can be played this way, using his powers as The Corruptor to try and take the land for himself instead of merely preventing the Demon King from doing so.
