LarryBoy and the Bad Apple is a video game based on the VeggieTales episode of the same name. It was released on July 29, 2006 to coincide with the video it's based after for the Playstation 2 and the Game Boy Advance.

The plot is the same as the video it's based after. Bumnblyburg is celebrating it's 300th anniversary, but the Bad Apple is sabotaging the events by using special webs that can lure the victims into another world based on they crave on.

Tropes:

  • Adaptation Expansion: Unlike the episode where Th Bad Apple tries to trick three victims into temptation, the game includes two additional victims in the likes of Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: In the video, the Bad Apple tricks Larry-Boy as the last victim. Here, she tricks him as the first victim.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: One of LarryBoy power ups is that he can turn metallic with his cape. This is used to push buttons from the ground.
  • Fun with Acronyms: LarryBoy's cape is called the Super Mental Automatic Replacement Technology cape or S.M.A.R.T. cape.
  • Level Ate: The first level based on Larry-Boy's temptation after the tutorial level is on the theme of sweets. Like in the episode, the Bad Apple turns the Larry Cave into a room filled with cookies, cakes and a chocolate river.
  • Pre-Rendered Graphics: The cutscenes are clips from the episode.
  • Recycled Soundtrack: All of the tracks are either scores or song instrumentals from previous VeggieTales episodes. Some song instrumentals are from soundtracks that were never used in the show.
  • Spin Attack: Due to the fact he has no visible arms, LarryBoy can use this to break objects with his plunger ears. But he can't spin too many times or he'll stop for a moment from being dizzy.
  • Toy Time: Pa Grape's level is based on toys. You start at a giant toy castle and later have to stop a toy train.
