A summary of the mod in 6 steps
Funkin' Physics (also known as VS Trollface/Trollge) is a Friday Night Funkin' mod made by A Bunch of Mod Makers (no, really, that's the team's name). Like with other Trollface mods, this one stars the titular Rage Comics character/meme and takes influence from its Darker and Edgier revival as Trollge.

The plot is rather simple; Trollface, now given the name "Corruptus", is just wandering through his dimension when he spots Boyfriend standing around and decides to do some "trolling" in song form. Something about him is just a little off, though...

The mod is currently incomplete. Another week featuring a new character, "Trollman", has been confirmed, as well as a reanimating of Week 1 and exclusive Freeplay songs. Various bits of trivia, as well as leaks, can be seen on the team's official Discord server.

In February 2022, the mod received an expanded demo, which added "Tomfoolery" and a plethora of bonus Freeplay songs, as well as a remade menu.

In December 2023, the mod received a big update, which includes remade Week 1 and a lot of new songs.

The mod can be downloaded on GameBanana here.

Not to be confused with The Blueballs Incident, another Friday Night Funkin' mod based on the Trollface that Corruptus also appears in.

  • Adaptation Name Change: As revealed on the mod team's discord, Trollge's actual name is "Corruptus".
  • Adaptational Villainy: Thanks to being partially based on the Trollge revival, Trollface has gone from an annoying prankster at worst to an Ax-Crazy Eldritch Abomination bent on brutally murdering Boyfriend.
  • Art Evolution: The mod has undergone this twice throughout its updates. In the first versions, the sloppy stick-figure style of Rage Comics was very closely mimicked, right down to copy-pasting the same iconic face for the character. As of the 1.5 update, the art was redrawn to be entirely original and closer to the style of FNF itself, and recent leaks for the 2.0 update show that its art will be updated again to look downright professional.
  • Badass Normal: In an older version of the Week 2 Demo, Thailand_Best's song doesn't have any special gimmicks, but it had so many notes, it outright crashes the game if you use Botplay, and the song isn't even possible without it. Subverted in an update, which changed "Do Delirium" entirely, making it beatable without Botplay.
  • Beware the Silly Ones:
    • Just because he's the classic Trollface doesn't mean he won't put up a serious fight, especially when he's actually an Eldritch Abomination.
    • Thailand_Best in older versions. Despite clearly being a joke character, his song used to have so many notes, it would outright crash the game if you used Botplay to beat it, and it wasn't beatable without doing so.
  • Body Horror: In the cutscenes before Trolling and The Incident, Corruptus demonstrates the ability to extend his arms and contort them in a horrific manner (something that also happens in a number of original Rage Comics). During The Incident, his poses also have his arms twist around in a similar manner.
  • Disguised Horror Story: Thanks to the influence of Trollge, this mod doesn't exactly maintain the silly vibe the first week gives off.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: All it takes is losing a song battle to get Trollface to go Ax-Crazy and plan on murdering Boyfriend, and it's not long after that he goes full Eldritch Abomination.
  • Face Framed in Shadow: Corruptus' face in Mistaken is this.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Right at the last image before the first cutscene ends, there is a brief flash that shows Corruptus leaking black liquid from his mouth as the words "KILL HIM", "RIP THEM TO PIECES", and "THE ALONE WORLD INCIDENT" appear around him. This could be a case of Glamour Failure.
  • Foil: The mod itself can be seen as one to another Trollface mod, The Blueballs Incident. Both are horror-based Friday Night Funkin' mods where you fight against a Trollface that take inspiration from the Trollge revival, but there are also a number of differences between the two:
    • VS Trollface starts off with a sillier atmosphere that begins to decay as Corruptus gets angrier while Blueballs starts off immediately with a somber atmosphere and an unnerving antagonist.
      • Even in the type of horror they present, VS Trollface is more in-your-face and visceral once it gets scary while Blueballs is slower and more chilling.
    • VS Trollface remains true to the original stick-figure art style of Rage Comics and mimics stock Trollface expressions while Blueballs goes for a more professional, updated look with entirely original art.
    • Corruptus forces the battle on Boyfriend in VS Trollface, while Blueballs has Boyfriend confronting the Troll instead.
  • Glamour Failure: At the end of “Mistaken”, Corruptus decides he’s going to turn things all the way up, transforming into the mutated, disturbing Trollge with an ear-piercing scream.
  • Hell Is That Noise: At the end of Mistaken and The Incident, Corruptus lets out an ear-shattering screech, with the former signaling his transformation into Trollge.
    • Even his normal speaking voice in the cutscene before The Incident (and at the end of the one before Mistaken) is an Uncanny Valley, robotic text-to-speech program that begins to veer into Sensory Abuse after he says "THEY WILL PAY FOR THEIR SINS".
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Despite the current state of his body, the Lone World Trollge doesn't have any sort of ill intention, simply confronting Boyfriend out of desperation for human contact. The song's good ending shows him becoming friends with Boyfriend, looking genuinely happy and not at all malicious.
  • Interface Screw:
    • During Mistaken the notes start moving from side to side, as the camera starts swaying a bit. The camera sways more when Corruptus' colors are inverted.
    • Also, during The Incident, Trollge messes with the arrows in a number of ways, from turning them all white to making them face different directions to removing his side entirely.
    • "Alone Forever" constantly changes the positions of the arrows, spreading them out, swapping their places, and even removing the opponent's arrows entirely.
    • The nuke notes in "Ragdoll" cause the player's arrows to tilt and move all over the place in random configurations if you miss them, which can get as bad as stacking all four of the notes on top of each other.
    • "Absurde" takes this to the extreme, making the screen and strikeline sway around wildly and eventually rapidly rotating them to the point of unreadability.
  • Laughing Mad: Trollge, in the cutscene before The Incident.
  • Limp and Livid: Trollge takes this stance during The Incident in the older version. The 1.5 update changes this to a Primal Stance.
  • Nightmare Face: Once Corruptus reveals himself as a Trollge, his face is...unpleasant, to say the least.
  • Oh, Crap!: Boyfriend seems to have one in the intro cutscene.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • During Mistaken, Corruptus goes from the usual wide smirk to a more contemplative, serious face and doesn't open his mouth in any of his poses. The 1.5 update instead gives him a saddened "what did you do that for" frown with his poses looking notably distressed.
    • Boyfriend is visibly afraid when Trollge puts his hand on his shoulder in the cutscene before The Incident.
  • Patter Song: The Incident is absurdly fast and contains almost entirely spamming sections.
  • Rain of Blood: During The Incident, the rain seen through his window turns to one of these.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: While Trollge himself doesn't have any red on him, the background during The Incident turns blood-red to go with Trollge's black.
  • Self-Made Orphan: Trollge murdered his and Trollman's parents at a young age.
  • Shout-Out / Mythology Gag: Even beyond starring the comic's most famous character, this mod has a number of references to classic Rage Comics:
    • All of the cutscenes are in a step-by-step format similar to that of the memetic "Oil floats on water" strip.
    • In the background behind Corruptus, you can see a picture of the first comic he appeared in all the way back in 2008.
    • During The Incident, there's a calendar on the wall that sets the date as December 10th, 2022. This is the exact date of the "Lone World" Trollge Incident, which also gets namedropped in an earlier Freeze-Frame Bonus.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: In the oldest version of the mod, the happy-go-lucky Troll Song plays over all three cutscenes, including the one where Corruptus reveals his true form as Trollge.
  • Stylistic Suck: In the mod's first and second version, its art is styled after the standard Rage Comic, meaning that everything is sloppily drawn in MS Paint while Corruptus himself is a simple stick figure with stock expressions. This is no longer the case as of the 1.5 update, however, which remastered the artwork completely.
  • Suddenly Voiced: In the final shot of the cutscene before Mistaken and the entirety of the cutscene before The Incident, Corruptus starts speaking what's written onscreen in a robotic voice described in Hell Is That Noise above.
  • Tears of Blood: In the oldest version of the mod, Corruptus pours blood from his eyes while turning into Trollge before The Incident. This face can also be seen as his defeat icon during The Incident in both versions.
  • Time Master: Corruptus is apparently this, sending Boyfriend forward to 2022 in The Incident.
  • Unwinnable Joke Game:
    • "Absurde", while technically possible, isn't meant to be humanly feasible to beat. Roadblocks include rapid note spam at 300 BPM, increasing the note count to 9 in the same vein as VS Shaggy, and the screen swaying and rotating ridiculously fast.
    • The older version of "Do Delirium" is not in the slightest serious, and appropriately is completely impossible, as the player is almost immediately given a block of notes so thick that the game can't even load them properly.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Near the end of Mistaken, Corruptus' colors invert, as his set of arrows is filled with note spam. This is followed up by him letting out a VERY loud screech as he reveals his true form.
    • In the cutscene right before Mistaken, there's also the final shot, which has Corruptus giving an unnerving Slasher Smile as an inverted version of him (presumably his subconscious) demands he "END HIM".
  • Wham Line: As mentioned in Wham Shot above: "END HIM."
