Timber is an arcade game developed by Bally/Midway and first released to arcades in 1984. The game is a two-player co-op game in which two players can play at the same time to chop down trees. The game has a unique control scheme in which each player moves their character with one joystick and uses a second one that only moves back and forth to control their axe. The game also includes a log rolling bonus game.
Tropes:
- Bears Are Bad News: One of the enemies is a bear who comes out and throws a beehive at the two players.
- Bee Afraid: The bear enemy in the video game throws a beehive at both of the players. If the player is attacked by the swarm of bees that comes out, they lose a life.
- Bonus Level: The game includes a log-rolling minigame that both players can play in after every couple of levels.
- Mighty Lumberjack: Both players use their axes to cut down trees and they do sometimes participate in a log-rolling game.
- Stock Beehive: The beehives thrown by the bears look like the standard "stack of golden donuts".
