Spooky's Saturday Scare is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by Team Lizord and directed by TheOsSloth, based on Spookys Jumpscare Mansion.

After being defeated by Boyfriend in a rap battle, Daddy Dearest wants to get rid of him for good, but doesn't want his daughter to never love him again, so he reads a book in order to find a hitman to kill him in his place. Suddenly, he finds a pamphlet: "You won't last 5 SECONDS in THIS place! Spooky's Manor is to DIE for ;)".

So he decides to send his daughter to the Mansion on the Hill in hopes that Boyfriend comes there and dies from the monsters within while looking for his girlfriend. He undervalues his singing power, however, and doesn't keep in mind that ANYONE who faces him are forced to rap battle him in order to kill him. Now Boyfriend has to face the horrors of Spooky's Mansion. Will he get out of there alive or will his soul wander an endless maze...forever?

Not to be confused with any Spooky Month mod (this is not just Spooky...this is scary), nor with Spooky's Funkin' Mansion, another Spookys Jumpscare Mansion-related mod.

Can you, humble troper, make it through one thousand tropes?:

• Adaptational Wimp: Zigzagged with Boyfriend. He can dodge a supernatural clay monster's attacks, yet he can't dodge Specimen 14's axe-swinging attacks. Specially jarring considering it's not the first time he dodged a lot of stuff coming at him in mods, and some were even faster than that (bullets, rays, beams and the like).
• Adapted Out: The mod doesn't have the rest of Specimens or enemies from the main campaign, nor characters from the DLCs. This makes sense, however, since the mod is still in progress and more content is planned to come.
• Ambiguous Time Period: It's not really clear in what part of the events of the original game does each song takes place, assuming it follows the main game's canon, that is. If that's the case, then "Antagonized" definetly takes place after the Bad Ending of the main campaign, considering The Protagonist of Spookys Jumpscare Mansion is now named "Specimen 14", suggesting that Spooky labelled them as such after killing Specimen 9. So "Septicemia" must takes place before The Protagonist's arrival. What's sure for now, though, is that the whole mod takes place WAY before the events of the Karamari Hospital and the Spooky's Dollhouse DLCs.
• Ax-Crazy:
  • Quite literally with Specimen 14. Like Sammy, they're a mad "person" who carries an axe. Only this time, they use it to damage Boyfriend while singing.
  • Also Spooky, obviously.
• Blood from Every Orifice: HER has some blood spilling from her mouth and eyes.
• Chase Scene: Much like the Wario Apparition and the Faceless SpongeBob and Patrick, Specimen 9 chases Boyfriend in "Full Body Amputation", with BF needing to dodge his attacks to not get TAKEN.
• Cute Is Evil: Spooky, as always, is a Cute But Psycho snarky ghost girl who wants to mess up with and hopes to kill Boyfriend.
• Full-Frontal Assault: HER battles Boyfriend midsong during "IMSCARED" while naked.
• Game-Over Man: Similar to Tankman in the original game, failing in "Chills" will have Spooky saying a lot of phrases mocking at Boyfriend and the player.
• Guest Fighter: Just like in the main game, White Face makes an appearance in this mod as a secret opponent.
• Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Besides his pajamas, Girlfriend also carries around a frog plushie in her arms (before "Antagonized", at least).
• Hero of Another Story: Specimen 14 was originally The Protagonist of Spookys Jumpscare Mansion, who became another one of Spooky's Specimens in the Bad Ending of the main campaign when hurting too much enemies with the axe during the game. They're now one of the enemies Boyfriend has to face in order to get out of the mansion.
• Humanoid Abomination: Just like in the game, Specimen 9 and White Face are these in the Flying Face department. This is even more notorious in Specimen 9's Boss Form and HER.
• Joke Character: The Lean Monster, a fakeout of Specimen 2 made of (and addicted to) lean instead of goop. He even swears and talks about lean and other bullcrap.
• Living Drawing: In the pamphlet that Daddy Dearest finds while looking for hitmen in a book, Spooky's photo winks at him for a moment.
• Madness Mantra: Specimen 9 whispers this quote several times:

• The Many Deaths of You:
  • Boyfriend receives the same Game Over from the vanilla game in "Chills", albeit with some thunder and an organ solo beforehand. Then Spooky starts the rant.
  • "Full Body Amputation" has Boyfriend getting killed by Specimen 9 and shows a Jump Scare with the Specimen in a hellish red background with a TO TAKE THE DEAD Wall of Text and the screen either fading to black or getting glitchy. Same goes with "Septicemia".
  • In "Antagonized", we see Specimen 14 doing a final strike by encrusting his axe through Boyfriend's skull, complete with an earraping noise and the screen getting stained in blood.
  • "Mansion", a quite a slow and relaxing song, shows Boyfriend having his cellphone freaking explode in his face and making a hole in his cranium, making half of his brain fall.
  • "Cutout" has...probably the funniest one yet, as BF passes out after being scared by a cutout drawn as a smilling poop, with an arrow pointing at it with a "You", all while Spooky leaves and makes Specimen 1 fall.
  • In "Rigor Chorus", Spooky disappears, reappears behind Boyfriend and decapitates him with her knife, then laughs and disappears once again. Boyfriend's standing corpse then continues to flow blood from his neck.
  • In "Off The Goop", BF gets lean overdose and falls dead, while his brain takes the form of the word "LEAN".
  • In the secret song "IMSCARED", the screen goes to black and the words "DEATH IS NO ESCAPE" appears while the background is in static. White Face then appears, with Boyfriend's body hanged in the background.
• Ms. Fanservice:
  • While still being scary and kind of a Humanoid Abomination, HER is still kinda sexy in a horror way.
  • Also Girlfriend, of course, even in pajamas.
• Mythology Gag: The sound used for Specimen 14's axe attacks at Boyfriend during "Antagonized" is the same hurt sound effect from the main game and, alternatively, the sound used when hurting an enemy with the axe.
• Pajama-Clad Hero: Girlfriend went to the mansion thinking about staying the night in there as her dad told her, unknowing about DD's plan to lure and get BF killed. Thus, she accompanies his boyfriend in sleepwear and bunny socks.
• Pass the Popcorn: While Boyfriend battles Specimen 14 during "Antagonized", Girlfriend is sipping on some ICEE smoothie in the background. She does stop for a moment each time Boyfriend takes damage from Specimen 14's axe attacks.
• Psycho Knife Nut: Spooky carries and swings around a knife during the entire "Rigor Chorus" song...She also puts it to use should you fail.
• Sdrawkcab Speech: Specimen 9 whispers this message in "Full Body Amputation":

• Shout-Out: The cat's face on Girlfriend's sleepwear shirt is a direct reference to Guppy's Head.
• Split-Screen Phone Call: In "Mansion", Girlfriend calls Boyfriend through her cellphone to come to the Mansion on the Hill.
• This Loser Is You: One of the cutouts that can distract the player in Chills is a smiling turd with an arrow poining it labeled "You". It also appears in Cutout to jumpscare Boyfriend, should you get a game over.
