Max Steel: Covert Missions is a 2000 video game for the Sega Dreamcast by Mattel, it is based on the Max Steel cartoon. It follows Max once against taking on the terrorist forces of D.R.E.A.D and his Arch-Enemy Psycho.

Tropes:

• Badass in Distress: The game starts with the competent Jefferson Smith getting kidnapped.

• Evilutionary Biologist: Dawn qualifies as she believes that humanity has grown weak and needs to evolve.
• Greater-Scope Villain: John Dread technically fills this role as the terrorist organization D.R.E.A.D plays a major role in the game. But John himself never makes an appearance in the actual game, and it is Dawn and Psycho that are the primary threats.

• Transformation Horror: The ultimate goal of the main villain, Dawn, is to transform the entire world into a monster.
