Mad Sisters' Week Off!!! is a browser Shoot 'Em Up created by Newgrounds users Tombdude (AKA Zizou), JunDev, Prutte, and Nightbuggg. The game follows the titular Mad Sisters, a duo of supervillains consisting of Marisha (the human) and Yelena (the ball), joined by their ally Sashka, a skeleton that looks like a gun. as they wreak havoc on their unnamed city on (when else?) their week off. Along the way, they cross paths with Wrangler, an anglerfish-themed superhero who unintentionally leads them to steal the Shufflifier, a piece of technology that can rearrange a person's pixels, allowing them to turn into anyone. You play as Marisha, as you use Sashka as a gun to shoot at Yelena, who bounces around knocking civilians into the air.

The game can be found here.

Mad Sisters' Week Off contains examples of:

  • Ambiguous Gender: Sashka. Tombdude seemed confused when one of the interviewers in the Newgrounds podcast assumed they were female.
  • Author Avatar: The game's developers all appear as civilians.
  • Bouncing Battler: Yelena is a ball, who bounces around the stage (if she gains sufficient speed) to launch civilians into the air.
  • Capitalism Is Bad: Marisha describes her week off as "A week of break from being stuck in the tickering cog of the machine that is capitalism..."
  • Clone by Conversion: The Shufflifier's power.
  • Covered in Gunge: Yelena, when a Slimo attacks her.
  • Cute Slime Mook: Slimo.
  • Endless Game: The endless mode, which also makes you lose health when Yelena is not moving. justified, as apparently the Shufflifier has a time altering effect, which can be used to make the week off last forever.
  • Equippable Ally: Marisha uses Sashka like a gun. Although they are not a gun, they are a skeleton.
  • Expy: Averted with Yelena, whose resemblance to The Dirty Bubble the creators have confirmed was coincidental, and Zizou was quite distraught at the resemblance.
  • Fish People: Wrangler, an anglerfish woman.
  • Golden Super Mode: Strangler, a more powerful version of Wrangler who only appears in endless mode.
  • Graphics-Induced Super-Deformed: The characters look much more Super-Deformed in gameplay compered to cutscenes and official art, which also goes for many of the civilians.
  • Hero Antagonist: Wrangler.
  • Hero with an F in Good: Played for Laughs with Wrangler, who unwittingly gives away important information about the Shufflifier to the Mad Sisters, who wouldn't have even known about it if she hadn't accused her of trying to steal it. Although the ending seems to imply this was intentional as part of her plan to claim the Shufflifier.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: The Wrangler wanted to steal the Shufflifier so she could be as popular as the sisters.
  • Insistent Terminology: Sashka is not a gun. They are a skeleton.
  • MacGuffin: The Shufflifier, an object that can make the user transform into anyone else by rearranging the pixels.
  • Mascot Mook: Parodied with the Slimo, whose collection description mentions various pieces of Slimo-themed merchandise.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: The game features several characters from Newgrounds, and other web creations, as cameos.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: As it turns out, the titular sisters were actually fairly popular because of their attempts to create chaos, as the civilians aren't harmed by being launched into the air, and actually love it.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: The ending implies that Wrangler giving out information about the Shufflifier was part of her plot to steal it.
  • Pajama-Clad Hero: For a loose definition of "hero", Marisha's pajama variant counts.
  • Retraux: The whole game, but one stage takes it to another level, taking place in an 8 bit game with matching music.
  • Shout-Out: In addition to all the cameos from Newgrounds and across the web, a few stick out:
  • Sleepyhead: Marisha mentions multiple times throughout the story wanting to sleep, which the description her pajama self in the collection acknowledges.
  • Stylistic Suck: Both sisters have cutscene sprites that make them look deliberately crudely drawn for humor's sake.
  • Super Zeroes: Wrangler, who unintentionally (Or perhaps intentionally) leads the titular sisters to steal a rare object, and whose only power is glowing in the dark.
  • Title Drop: Played for Laughs in one of Lil' Safety's quotes:
Lil' Safety: "AHHH!!!! IT'S THE MAD SISTERS!!! AND IT APPEARS IT'S THEIR WEEK OFF!!! It's almost like... IT'S THE MAD SISTERS' WEEK OFF!!!!!" *wink*
