Littlest Pet Shop: Biggest Adventure is a Virtual Pet game based on the Littlest Pet Shop toyline that released in 2007. The game is unique from later video game tie-ins to the toyline in that it's a plug-and-play game; all the data for the game is stored on its own controller, which is plugged into a TV in order to use.

The gameplay is simplistic, consisting of adopting various pets and caring for them in a variety of ways such as feeding, accessorizing, and playing minigames with them.

This game includes the following tropes:

  • Cast of Snowflakes: The fifty-plus possible pets to adopt represent a wide variety of species and breeds of animals with distinctive appearances. Even in cases where multiple characters are of the same species and have the same toy mold (such as the cats), they all have unique colorations and markings.
  • Cooking Mechanics: The Doggie Diner allows players to mix together ingredients to make a meal for their pets. Pets will only eat food intended for whatever animal they are; they'll turn their noses up at any other kind of food, and not following recipes produces slop that pets will refuse to touch.
  • Fictional Currency: The game uses kibble coins as currency, which are golden coins with paw prints on them. These are used to buy goods and services for your pets, in addition to paying the adoption fees for new ones.
  • No Ending: The game is open-ended and lacks a definitive ending. At most, a player can try to adopt and care for rarer pets.
