Lands of Infinity is a Game Mod for Minecraft 1.8, released in 2020 by developer Aquacron.

Inspired by Advent of Ascension, the mod adds a lot of content to the game, with notable additions including plenty of new items, weapons, and dimensions (also referred to as realms).

The Crons/deities that the mod features feel a disturbance coming from the realm of Chrathanax, and eventually catch onto the fact that an evil figure has plans to resurrect an evil demon of destruction known as Chra'tos, and is very close to succeeding at his task. After deliberation, the Crons decide to call upon you, the player character (who has proven themselves as strong by being able to defeat the Ender Dragon and Wither) to foil the plan of summoning Chra'tos for evil purposes. The quest leads the player through various realms, slowly but surely finding the resources necessary to reconstruct Chra'tos corpse themselves, so they can resurrect Chra'tos themselves and kill him.

Lands of Infinity contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Ancient Tomb: The absolutely massive pyramids that generate upon using a Talisman of the Desert at a Summoning Circle.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: Standard rift keys are usable one time, meaning that the player will have to gather more resources, namely Rift Cores to make a new key whenever they want to redirect the compluverse portal to another dimension. Defeating the boss in the giant desert pyramid however grants the player with a way to get a rift key with infinite uses, greatly reducing how many Rift Cores they must gather over the course of a playthrough.
  • BFS: Many swords qualify, especially ones found near the end of the game.
  • Game-Breaker: Several, unfortunately:
    • The Blade of the Stabbed Heart grants Absorption V, or in other words, a 10 heart shield whenever the player hits another mob with it, with the timer and the 10 heart shield resetting whenever hitting something again. Craftable with Resmium gems found underground in the Overworld, gold blocks and Golden Apples, this weapon can be obtained at the start of the game.
    • The Trigonium Pickaxe (or any other tool that breaks multiple blocks) simply due to the fact that adjacent blocks broken by multi-block-breaking tools aren't checked to see if they're indestructible or not, and are broken and dropped anyway. This makes it possible to both obtain and place Bedrock, in survival. This also applies to boss altars, normally not possible to pick up and bring elsewhere, thus allowing players to fight most bosses wherever they want.
  • Sequence Breaking: Reallyia, intended to be accessed very late on a standard playthrough, can actually be visited rather early instead (likely due to an oversight) as the realm runes that get you there are made with realm crystals fashioned from unstable energy obtained from Rift Pits and fallen star cores in the Overworld. Chronosteel Ingots from the dimension may also be obtained from the Overworld as spawners for Reallyia loot chests occassionally appear as you gather Rift Cores from Rift Pits. This also allows the player to craft the items that can control the flow of time early if they are able to scrape together enough chronosteel.
  • Under the Sea: The Aquatia dimension, which is set entirely underwater.
