** The Pulverizer is a [[DropTheHammer sledgehammer]] with a magazine of explosives feeding into it. Using heavy attack will detonate one on impact, adding a shaped explosion to the actual swing. If the magazine is empty, only the actual hit will do damage. The light attack, jab, and block don't use ammunition.

A third game, simply named ''Killing Floor 3'', was announced during 2023's Gamescom.

In the beginning, London was reduced to ruins as someone at Horzine Labs let out [[GoneHorriblyWrong some specimens who weren't supposed to end up like they ended up]]. So, what do you get when a containment breach occurs and the specimens run havoc in not just London, but the rest of Europe? As more people attempt to fight back specimens, someone is causing them to spread, even after the Patriarch's final death.

* AcceptableBreaksFromReality: The RPG-7 has an ArbitraryWeaponRange like the M79 and won't detonate if it hits something less than about 10 meters away, which is incorrect because its original-issue ammunition uses a simple contact detonator that does not have a minimum-range safety feature.

* AllThereInTheManual: Know the plot for the last game?[[labelnote:You don't?]]Kevin Clamely was set up to make super soldiers, his son was killed and he was much less ethical about his project as he considered the Specimens his children. As more of the workers at Horzine Labs started seeing things not being completely okay, Kevin did the only thing he could do before it was shut down: Use himself as a test subject. Cue the Killing Floor 1 Objective mode update that expanded a bit on the story, concluding that Kevin's own daughter wanted to put an end to the Zeds and that Kevin cloned himself. Oh and the team takes a train to Paris. Cue sequel.[[/labelnote]] Okay, well, you're sent in to kill lots of freak cloning specimens, get money, buy better guns, survive to kill the boss, rinse and repeat until the game goes gold and possibly gets a plot-point like the last game. [[note]]Nope![[/note]]

* QuickMelee: Every gun can be [[PistolWhipping used as a bludgeon]] against enemies. These attacks do very little damage (just barely enough to decapitate the weakest Zeds), but can cause almost any enemy to stumble, interrupting special attacks such as grabs--just don't think you can stunlock enemies this way, because they'll be ImmuneToFlinching for a few seconds afterward. For actual melee weapons, the button for stock bashes is how one of their attacks are used, generally a quick thrust.

* SatchelCharge: Available to Demolitionists in the form of an [[https://killingfloor.fandom.com/wiki/C4_Explosives explosive C4 charge]] that can attach to various surfaces and packs one hell of a punch when set off. The only downside is that they're a little on the expensive side and are (naturally) a single use item in a game where enemies typically attack in groups of six or more.

** When looking at different kinds of viscera, Masterson will sometimes say "Creator/HPLovecraft would get off on this stuff..."

** Some of Tom Banner's face paints are a reference to more famous war paints [[Film/{{Braveheart}} "Freedom!"]], [[VideoGame/GodOfWar "To War!"]], and [[Film/MadMaxFuryRoad "Valhalla!"]]

* SinisterSubway: France has some pretty nasty subways which can be seen on the maps Burning Paris and Hostile Ground. The lack of light and hordes of Zeds [[SarcasmMode make them a fun place to traverse.]]
