Escape from Vantablack is a short Idle Game made for Void Development Jam by Jacorb90 and released in 2021.
There's darkness everywhere. You click a button to make Photons. Once you make enough of them, you gain access to additional mechanics like Photons/Electrons and Lumens. Keep going until you reach 100% to get out of the darkness.

This game provides examples of:
- As the Good Book Says...: You have a button with the words "Let there be light!" to produce photons.
- Completion Meter: A bar at the top of the page tracks your completion.
- Cooldown: You can only press the "Let there be light!" every two seconds, but getting Photon Upgrade 1 will halve the interval (potentially more with Photon Upgrade 6).
- Crawl: The title screen shows messages scrolling past like news tickers.
- Discard and Draw: You can annihilate Positrons to gain a 1- charge and Electrons for 1+. The number of the type you have minus the one you don't have provides a boost to Photon Upgrade 3 & 5 / 2 & 4, respectively.
- The End: The words "THE END" appear once the game is over, written in red or blue based on the ending.
- Export Save: Once you reach 1,000,000 total Photons, you gain access to the options menu, where you can press a button to export your save as a 1.2KB+ file.
- Fade to White: Once you reach 100%, the screen turns white for a moment.
- Freudian Excuse: The godlike being was treated callously by its own creators before being abandoned, motivating it to take over the multiverse by force to create paradise for all beings.
- Minimalist Cast: The only characters are the Player Character and the godlike being filling the universe with darkness. Other characters are mentioned, but do not appear — the godlike being's creators and the High Gods.
- Multiple Endings: There are two endings, depending on whether you succeed in banishing the darkness or not.
- The Multiverse: The darkness-filled universe is just one of many universes.
- Nameless Narrative: None of the characters have names.
- Rush Boss: Of a sort. After reaching 100%, you have to click on + squares and avoid - squares for True Photons to prevent Photon production from reaching 0%, while also bringing it back to 100%.

- One of the title screen messages mentions that the dimensions here are not made of antimatter.
- One of the news tickers is the first few lines of the Bee Movie script.
- Top God: "High Gods" of the multiverse are mentioned.
- We Can Rule Together: The god offers you to join in creating his kingdom if he reduces your Photon production to 0%.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: The godlike being wants to take over the multiverse by force to create paradise for all beings.
