Date Night Bowling is an indie sports/dating-sim game developed by Serenity Forge and published by Way Down Deep and released on November 26, 2021 on Steam and Nintendo Switch.In the game you take on the role of a high school student that is visiting the local bowling alley on a date night. You must successfully find a date by bowling a good game and playing small minigames in between frames.
To make a great first impression, you must play everything right because making your selected partner happy is the ultimate goal.
The game provides examples of:
- Character Customization: The player can create not just their player character but also their date character. They also have the ability to customize their personality, making for a bit of challenge in the game if two unmatching personalities are chosen.
- Minigame Game: The main portion of the game is bowling but in between their frames, the player must engage in a series of mini games.
- Retraux: The game has a 16-bit art style and even takes on the appearance of being played on an old-fashioned CRT.
