Congratulations, new owner on being the privileged caretaker of an adorable Tibbles™ brand domesticated Tibetan Fox.

Please take time to properly peruse the Ownership Guidelines, to help get the best out of your Tibbles™

While your Tibbles™ is beyond excellence in cuteness, please be aware that early models still suffer from a problematic temper compared to regular domestic pets, as such, refraining from angering them is highly recommended.

How do I avoid angering Tibbles
The Tibetan Fox is easily vexed by people making incorrect assumptions about what it is saying. If you see a Tibetan Fox saying something that seems ridiculous, always remember that it's safer to ask for clarification than to assume incorrectly.

Remember the Tibbles™ motto: When you assume, you make an ASS out of U and ME.

The following behaviours are also known to cause agitation in the Tibetan Fox species.

  • Verbal Trench Warfare: A tendency of two or more opposing parties in a discussion to dig in and attack the philosophies of others with no attempt to understand the others.
  • I Don't Like You, Therefore You Are Wrong: Bob has a characteristic Alice finds unpleasant. With lightning speed, Alice assumes everything Bob says is wrong and must be interpreted as if it were intended in extreme bad faith.
    • This also has the corollary of You Disagree With Me, Therefore I Don't Like You, Therefore You Are Wrong. A particularly noxious form of behaviour which frequently renders a person utterly incapable of functioning in polite company. Such people are pitiful, yet intensely annoying.
  • My Horse Is High: Bob is convinced his beliefs are morally superior (forgetting that morals are subjective). When Alice attempts to dispute the factual accuracy or real world practicality of his beliefs, Bob responds by self-righteously asserting his higher status through superior moral virtue (as he so conveniently defines it).
  • Everyone Must Be A Sound Bite: An issue is being discussed. Alice has an unconventional opinion on the matter, she takes pains to explain how it differs in reasoning from more commonly encountered opinions. Bob reads it and is confused, but it looks a little bit like the position Alice was saying it wasn't. So Bob assumes that was Alice's position anyway, because that's easier than trying to understand a different and nuanced point of view.
