- Franchise Killer: While Zuma Blitz wasn't this at first, being very well received, it ended up becoming this after the Kroakatoa Island update, and led to the point where the entire game officially shut down on March 31, 2017.
- Port Overdosed: The original game has been ported to numerous flagship consoles of its time, and was even later made available for PS2, PSP, and Palm OS.
- Word of God: According to an interview video found in PopCap Hits Vol. 2, the name "Zuma" is not the name of the frog nor the name of the recurring statue character, but is actually the name of "the ancient civilization that you're exploring in the game".
