- Dueling Works: The anime with the Aki Sora OVAs. Both were released in 2009-2010, and both are infamous for their portrayal of Brother–Sister Incest and explicit sex scenes between adolescents. To top it off, both adaptations had the same director (Takeo Takahashi), and shared a few voice actresses, including Hiroko Taguchi in a title rolenote . Since Aki Sora has much more emphasis on its sexual content to the point that it's considered borderline/softcore hentai, it's become the more obscure of the two titles.
- Follow the Leader: Played with — while it seems like it follows the story-telling plot from Amagami SS, where after one arc is over the series retcons the entire thing to give way for the next one, the anime adaptation for this visual novel has branching episodes, each fork representing different choices.
