This is the Trivia page for Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons. For Trivia relating to the Wonder Woman franchise as a whole see Trivia.Wonder Woman

  • Bonus Material:
    • The last few pages of the first issue have a breakdown of the six Amazon tribes, where each of the 30 original Amazons fall under, the respective Queens of each tribe, and explaining the details of each unique Amazon design.
    • The backmatter of the second issue has a "Behind the Panels" with Gene Ha going over his creative process of interpreting DeConnick's scripts.
    • Nicola Scott's in book #3 has her going her layout and design process for the scene where Hippolyta confronts all of Olympus.
    • The trade includes all of the aforementioned above material in addition to an edited version of DeConnick's original pitch (parts relating to possible sequels excluded) and a transcript of Phil Jimenez's Eisner acceptance speech.
  • Doing It for the Art: Phil Jimenez stated in interviews the amount of time it took him to do all the art for the first issue wasn't very cost prohibitive but was happy to take his time as he considered the issue one of his career peaks.
  • Extremely Lengthy Creation: The series was first announced back in March 2018 with the launch of the Black Label imprint but aside from Jimenez sharing sneak peaks of the art on his social media accounts, there was little to be heard of the project. In some interviews, DeConnick would reveal there were tentative plans during 2020 to schedule the release of the first issue around time of Wonder Woman 1984 but the movie's constant pushbacks due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Jimenez's self-admitted slow art process made that unfeasible. In July of 2021, it would gain an official release date for October 2021 but not before being pushed back to November 16th and then the 30th due to global supply chain shortages caused by Covid-19.
  • Milestone Celebration: Officially solicited, and released, in 2021 as a part of Wonder Woman's 80th Anniversary.
  • What Could Have Been: DeConnick's very early pitch for the story envisioned Hippolyta as part of the founding generation of Amazons rather than being a mortal woman who later joined the Amazons.
