• Actor Allusion: One contestant was stumped and instead answered "Bueller...? Bueller...?" in reference to Ben's previous role as the teacher.
  • Ben would actually do this himself by asking stumped contestants, "Anyone? Anyone?"
• Ascended Extra: Jeopardy! super-champion Jerome Vered appeared as a contestant in a first-season episode. Some time later, Jerome became a part of WBSM's research staff.
• Hey, It's That Sound!: The ring-in bell and the clock ticks during the "Best of Ten Test of Knowledge" were previously used in the game show Debt. Both shows were produced by Disney under the Buena Vista TV and/or Valleycrest nameplates.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Has never come out on home entertainment or streaming, and it hasn't been rerun since GSN did so in the mid-2000s decade. It's also extremely hard to find on YouTube, with only about a dozen episodes from the entire run available.
• Playing Against Type: Ben Stein was very loose and relaxed on this show — a stark contrast against many of the monotone roles he's played on TV and film.
