Trivia with Their Own Pages

  • Accidentally-Correct Writing: Correct as far as cryptozoology is concerned. Ralph is supposed to be a yeti since he has the stereotypical white furnote  and is originally from a snowy environment, but he lives in a North American forest as opposed to the Himalayan mountains yetis are known to allegedly inhabit (although Mount Shasta also had yeti sightings), which would make him more akin to a white bigfoot. Not only have bigfoot sightings have also occurred in snowy environments, some have been reported with white fur like Ralph has.
  • Adored by the Network: In 2019, Italian network Boing started dedicating weekends to a single show from their lineup. The initial lineup included shows such as Uncle Grandpa, Teen Titans Go!, The Amazing World of Gumball and this show, but the first two were quickly removed from rotation so that this show and Gumball would be the only shows left.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Nonbinary voice actor Charlyne Yi voices Chloe, a cisgender girl.
  • The Danza: Leslie Odom Jr. plays a character named Dr. Leslie.
  • Dawson Casting: Subverted with the cub versions of Grizzly and Panda and most of the children featured on the show but played straight with Chloe and Andy Bangs.
  • Distanced from Current Events: "Bubble", which focuses on Panda becoming a germophobe, was pulled from the Cartoon Network app in March 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic, though it can still be found on HBO Max.
  • Executive Meddling: Ever wonder why the show hardly uses any crude content? It's because they were told by execs to tone down the nature of the series after viewing the webcomic stories. However, this ended up making the show much more well-received. Especially among fans who were tired of the overabundance of crude humor on Cartoon Network's other shows.
  • Playing Against Type: Bobby Moynihan as Panda, to a point. If you've ever seen Chozen or Saturday Night Live, you'll notice that Bobby Moynihan specializes in two character types: brash, crude, and repugnant characters (on SNL, he does celebrity impressions of Guy Fieri and Chris Christie and one of his recurring characters is Ass Dan, a member of an Insane Clown Posse-style horrorcore rap group who has been declared dead every year since 2009) and utterly doofy ones. Shy and insecure Panda definitely falls into the latter type, but channels a good deal more pathos and heart than these characters are usually required to show.
  • Recycled Script: The "Bear Factz" short video segment of "More Everyone's Tube" is more or less a revamped version of Chloe's debut episode where she first scientifically observes the Bears' habits, with the bear biologist in a lab coat playing the role of scientific researcher.
  • Referenced by...: In the Duncanville episode “Classless President” the Fabulous Flossing Bears are a homage to Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear, even being shown doing the bearstack.
  • Screwed by the Network: 2017 was not kind to the show as Cartoon Network frequently pushed the series to the side in favor of more Teen Titans Go!. The summer season rarely had the show appear on the schedule and made it difficult to tell when new episodes were even coming (mainly due to airing on blocks that put way more emphasis on the aforementioned Teen Titans Go!).
    • In 2018, however, this was averted. Reruns of the series were once again a regular feature of Cartoon Network's schedules. There was the added caveat that only the episodes about the characters as babies were airing, which severely limited the number of episodes they aired. In late December 2019, the show again went off the lineup. It would eventually return in May 2020 to hype up The Movie, before getting pulled a few weeks after said movie premiered.
  • Series Hiatus: The show went on hiatus from May 2019 to June 2020.
  • Short Run in Peru: "Panda's Friend" first aired in Korea and France months before airing in the United States.
  • Short-Runner: The webcomic only lasted 9 pages.
  • Throw It In!: According to the crew's official Tumblr page, Demitri Martin (Ice Bear's voice actor) normally records about three episodes' worth of dialogue once a month by himself. Because of this, there's a lot of room for him to improv some of Ice Bear's lines.
  • Word of God: Daniel Chong revealed that the inspiration for Ice Bear's personality is a combination of Snoopy, Gromit, Abed, and himself.
  • Write What You Know: Daniel Chong has said that the entire show is a metaphor for living in America as an ethnic minority (Chong is Korean-American).
