Trivia / Victory Belles

  • Casting Gag: Several voice actresses have performed characters in similar works.
  • Fake Nationality: Zig-zagged; while the developers have put in a lot of effort trying to avert this (in some cases looking for specific accents/dialects of a language within their pool of auditionees), practical difficulties finding suitable VAs outside of the United States has meant that a number of non-English-speaking Belles are voiced by non-native speakers (sometimes quite obviously so).
  • Meaningful Release Date: The closed beta began on September 1st, 2021, the anniversary of the beginning of WWII.
  • Schedule Slip: Became somewhat infamous for this during its development, considering that the original plan seems to have been for an early 2017 release. Even after the game finally entered closed beta in 2021, it would experience one more delay as its planned 2022 release ended up being pushed back to 2023 due to Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine directly affecting the lives of BCS developers in both countries.
  • Troubled Production: Besides Schedule Slip problems, the game's publisher pulled out in July 2023, creating significant financial troubles for the developers. This forced a massive revision of the game's ongoing content, including a drastic slowdown of the story/metagame progression and moving all subsequent event Belles (with the exception of Orzel in October 2023) to gacha-only releases (previously, such Belles could also acquired by farming an event map).
  • Word of God: The developers stated on Discord that they have the story planned out to 1946, and hope to end the game there.
