  • Career Resurrection: She was building up a fairly strong reputation as a fan VA around 2012, but her semi-hiatus in 2013 along with the troubled production of her fanfiction audio dub of Rainbow Factory caused her to not be as present for a while, both on her own channel, and others too, as well as less interaction with her fans. However, shortly after beginning her recovery from her eating disorder, and the subsequent release of the Fluttershy Plays series, she not only became a prominent presence on YouTube again, but gained more fans than ever. She also responded more to their feedback, always letting them know how much she appreciates it. With her current status as one of the nicest and most cheerful people on YouTube, her reputation doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
  • Colbert Bump: Group 5 received one after both she and AnimatedJames promoted it on their respective channels. Sadly, the promotion on the latter's side may have had a negative effect on it.
  • Contractual Purity: While the Internet doesn't really bind anyone to a "contract," her inner expectation of her audience, who at this point know her mostly for Fluttershy Plays is most likely the reason why she unlisted "The Real Pink Pony" from her channel. While she still keeps up her creepypasta audio dubs from her early days, those are far buried from the recommended videos of her Fluttershy Plays videos, and while some of those episodes do contain scary games with blood, she doesn't tend to use adult language in them. Any truly "adult" works she gets involved with nowadays are usually on other's channels, such as Group 5.
    • However, ever since the enforcement of YouTube's COPPA guidelines, she has targeted a few videos towards more mature audiences. In fact, it got to the point where her boyfriend, Nick Dante, got backlash over doing pin-up drawings of Mini Melon and Mini Lemon. It got so out of control that Vanna had to make a video addressing the controversy, saying that her videos, while mostly catering to general audiences, were never intended to have just kids as the primary audience.
  • Corpsing:
    • In "Fluttershy and Siri Have a Conversation," she can be heard trying to fight a laughing fit when Siri says "I'm not sure I understand" one too many times.
    • In "Fluttershy Has a Challenge: Make Her Laugh," she does this in response to a person's joke that the difference between a snowman and a snow woman is the "snowballs", in response to a toy's head falling off, and when a Fluttershy impersonator tells Vanna that lemons are better than melons and follows it up with "Hashtag THUG LIFE!!!"
    • In "Vanna As Fluttershy Reads Your YouTube Comments," she does this when an unsuccessful attempt at getting Siri to say Fluttershy's name right results in Siri saying "Fluttershall." When Fluttershy asks Siri if that's what she said, Siri responds "OK, but I already called you Fluttershee, Fluttershee" which is when Vanna breaks character.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • She seems to think this way of "The Real Pink Pony" (a parody of Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady" written by AnimatedJames and performed by her as Pinkie Pie) now, as she unlisted it from her channel due to "personal reasons." While the actual reason was never given by her, a lot of fans assume it's because the song contained adult language and jokes, and since Vanna got more popular for Fluttershy Plays, more kids started watching her content. For this reason, she even asked her fans not to associate her with AnimatedJames or his content anymore.
      • Her disassociation with AnimatedJames may actually go deeper than that. Her boyfriend and Group 5 creator Nick Dante revealed that one reason he doesn't intend for his series to come back is because a lot of fans were introduced to the character Diana through AnimatedJames' promo, which featured her dressed as a Playboy bunny licking a pole. Keep in mind that Diana, along with the rest of the main Group 5 characters are 13 years old. This apparently led to a fall out between Nick and James, and Vanna, feeling closer ties to Nick, supported him.
    • Her "Reacting to my First Fluttershy Plays [FNAF 1]" video has her cringing at the first Fluttershy Plays Five Nights at Freddy's video and she mentions the "Fluttershy plays Cory in the House" video with disdain.
  • Enforced Method Acting: Vanna actually gets drunk when recording the "Drunk Fluttershy Plays" videos for New Years.
  • Fan Community Nickname: Vanna refers to her fans as "melon heads."
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Over the years, It has become clear that Vanna has a penchant for putting many of her older videos to private, for reasons that they aren't up to her quality standards or simply because they don't fit with her current content. Thankfully, many of these deleted videos can be found on the Internet Archive.
  • Promoted Fangirl: Vanna is a big fan of Dashie Games, stating in a now deleted Super Mario Maker video that she was heavily inspired by his work, so you can imagine her excitement when Dashie himself replied to this tweet of her wearing his merchandise.
  • Real-Life Relative: She has occasionally done projects with her sisters Desi (FuzzySockPuppetz) and Jasmine (JasmineShirt).
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: All videos featuring Vanna's former friend Tipplet (mostly VR Chat) were removed after Tipplet was revealed to have made racist remarks towards Vanna and Nick behind their backs.
  • Romance on the Set: She and Nick Dante got to know each other through working on Group 5.
  • Rule 34 – Creator Reactions: Vanna has admitted to being a fan of pinups, and has commissioned multiple artists to draw her in a bikini. She's stated that anyone can draw her however they like, even in pornographic situations, as long as the art itself is good.
  • She Also Did:
    • Vanna has voiced the character Liza in the cartoon web series Group 5 created by her eventual boyfriend Nick Dante.
    • She also lent her voice to AgentDajo's senior thesis film "Dreading Water".
  • Troubled Production: Infamously, her fanfiction audio dub of Rainbow Factory had it, as she was having trouble completing it due to growing stress as well as her eating disorder, which reached a big low once the dub was finally done. This was one of the major factors that contributed to her semi-hiatus in 2013.
  • What Could Have Been: As revealed in her "Reacting to my First Fluttershy Plays [FNAF 1]" video, before making the first episode of Fluttershy Plays, Vanna was initially considering either doing Twilight or Applejack before deciding on Fluttershy. Though she would eventually make a parody cover of "Old Town Road" as Applejack.
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Vanna, like Markiplier, chose not to make her original "Fluttershy plays Undertale" a series due to comments from the Undertale community spoiling the game and criticizing her for playing the game "incorrectly". Her fans would later apologize for this and told the people who did harass Vanna that it was wrong. This is what motivated Vanna to give the series a second chance and make a complete second playthrough of "Fluttershy plays Undertale".
