  • Cross-Cast Role: There are many instances were the male cast played female characters. Most notably Mihăescu's role as Leana.
  • Dueling Works: With Divertis mostly in their Tv Show form and pretty much because they were on rival channels.
  • Fake Nationality: Vacanța Mare group are Romanians yet they have played Americans, Mexicans, Brits, French, Spaniards, Italians, Germans, Hungarians, Greeks, Turks, Russians, Arabs, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and Africans.
  • Follow the Leader: Vacanța Mare was so popular at the time, that everyone tried to do humor like them, which resulted in the Romanian humor as we know it today.
  • I Am Not Spock: All the Vacanța Mare group suffered from this.
    • Mugur Mihăescu is simply known as Garcea by a lot of people
      • Radu Pietreanu is known as Costel Pârțag
      • Florin Petrescu is known by people as Axinte. Because of that Axinte became his stage name
      • Mirela Stoian is known by everyone as Lila and this is the reason why she left VM in the first place. People simply couldn't take her seriously
      • If you ask somebody about Emil Rădinoiu, George Robu or Iulian Ilinca most people will not know who you are talking about. But if you ask them about Mitică Chirpici, Cârciumaru Romică or Frankfurt most will know them.
      • Ani Crețu is also known by everyone as Urinela.
  • Inspiration Forthe Work:
    • Garcea was inspired by the old communist Miliția and the (then) newly established police force. Both of which were incompetent, stupid and aggressive.
    • Leana and Costel as well as the rest of the villagers were inspired by the people of Sadova that Mihăescu met as a child.
      • Another inspiration for Leana and Costel were The Bundy's
    • The rest of the sketches were inspired by various events and aspects of Romanian life.
    • Mugur Mihăescu was inspired to become a comedian from when he was playing with puppets as a kid and from when he was making parodies were he mocked the teachers at his school.
  • Keep Circulatingthe Tapes: Many of their shows and episodes can be found on YouTube. However some are still missing.
  • No Export for You: Their shows on stage or on TV are unknown outside Romania. And it's understandable since most of their jokes won't make any sense in other countries because a lot of them are based around puns, which would be really difficult to translate.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: Their shows on stages and some of the episodes from Pro Tv were inspired by events that were happening at the time.
  • Recycled Script: Many of their jokes on stage were re-used on TV.
  • Word of God: Radu Pietreanu has expressed his distaste for Vacanța Mare fans warmongering nature towards every new comedian and comedy show.
