Trivia / TwoKinds

Go To

  • Follow the Leader: TwoKinds has at least two mutant offspring, one a direct ripoff (Project 2nd) and another blended with enough of The Elder Scrolls to be more unique, but only having 10 pages.
  • Reclusive Artist: As seen in his brother Mark's videos, Tom is relatively private when it comes to videos, with conventions being the only place to meet or interact with him.
  • Schedule Slip: Has dropped to one comic a month (although you *might* get another if you've been good all year) from its original MWF schedule, with numerous long pauses, including when the author's father passed away.
  • Trolling Creator: Tom's April Fool's pranks, which get more and more elaborate (not to mention epic) each year. Sadly, after the 2014 prank, he's promised not to do any more.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The prototype was a high-school comedy set in an Urban Fantasy, with the main character's house being on the borderland between human and Keidran territory. This was scrapped after 12 pages and became the High Fantasy we know now. The prototype got renamed to "The Halfkind" and is available here.
    • Flora was originally designed as a white and black house cat. As it was around Halloween when the comic began, Tom decided to draw an image of her as a tiger for the occasion (which was the first time he ever drew her in color). He liked it so much that it became her final design, even retroactively redrawing her as a tiger in the first few pages, which were originally in black and white. Her name was also originally going to be Kaylia.
  • Word of Gay: You would be surprised which characters were confirmed in the Pride Month sketch. Those include: Alaric, Maddie and Maeve.
