• Ascended Fanon: Trash Taste After Dark was, for the first couple of weeks of its inception, a fan-made YouTube channel that had uploaded the VOD of the first Trash Taste stream that aired on Twitch despite the hosts explicitly telling the audience not to. Some negotiations happened behind-the-scenes and finally the group took control, adopting the branding and turning it into an official Trash Taste channel.
• Corpsing: It's not uncommon for the boys to not be able to keep from laughing during some of their sillier ad reads. For instance, in episode 75 they can't get through a melodramatic promo for Manscaped without laughing in a couple of places due to the crude humor in the script.
• Metaphorgotten: Connor sometimes makes the comparison of some arbitrarily difficult task being akin to "Moses pulling the Red Sea back together" or variations thereof in and outside of Trash Taste. It isn't exactly the difficult part of that particular Biblical event.
• Milestone Celebration: Every 50 episodes is marked with an annual Award Show where the audience is polled on the best moments of the season.
• Fan Community Nickname: Joey frequently opens episodes with a nonsensical alliterative label for the audience, and the fandom picks up whatever label he's most recently used.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: The Dark Timeline memes starts with the premise of "Garnt survives the earthquake of March 2022" and details the efforts he takes to find ways to save the boys. Following Garnt's real-life wedding with Sydney, there is a community consensus to bring the Dark Timeline to a close as this is the outcome that Timeline!Garnt has worked so hard for.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Joey acknowledged that PewDiePie originally had Episode 69 reserved for his guesting, which ultimately did not push through due to Japanese travel restrictions under the current COVID-19 Pandemic. He eventually appeared as a guest on Episode 124.
  • Mysta Rias revealed in a livestream that he'd had three opportunities to be a guest on the podcast, but the first two fell through for various reasons, and the third wouldn't have been able to happen until after his graduation from Nijisanji, so he wouldn't be able to appear as Mysta.
