• Ascended Fanon: After many a Touhou fanwork where a questionable concoction made by Eirin factors into the story^note The infamous "Eirin's shady new drug" scenario of forbidden Touhou fanfic templates., Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom gives the protagonists the option of drinking the Ultramarine Orb Elixir made by Eirin in order to purge themselves of impurity.
• Dummied Out: Sagume's "defeated" portrait with Clothing Damage does in fact show up in the game files, but ZUN decided not to use it in any of the routes. Interestingly, it shows that she's wearing a red undershirt that's not normally visible.
• Word of God: In the Afterword, ZUN mentions that his main inspiration for Pointdevice Mode came from I Wanna Be the Guy.
