• Schedule Slip: The story started in late 2012, with an anticipated early 2014 finish. And at first, it seemed like it would reach that goal. However after the Germany arc, the series started to see less and less updates (partially from the author having burnout from such a large story, partially from him having several other ongoing projects). The story is slated for a Christmas 2015 finish.
• What Could Have Been: Originally, Emily was going to have a "double facade", in which she's not only not a Cloudcuckoolander ditz, but also not a humble computer fan, but rather a sadist who messes with the others while hiding her identity. As soon as this plot was introduced, however, it received massive backlash due to this coming right off the heels of his previous fanfic, Total Drama Brains vs Brawns, which had used the same idea throughout the entire season. After seeing how much ire this plot had attracted, the author removed any reference to it and went with the phone call plot instead.
