- Acting for Two:
- Chiaki Takahashi voices Kyouka Yukimura and Yukino.
- Eiji Takemoto voiced Eiji Gotou and Mizuhara.
- Bad Export for You: The western release of the PlayStation Vita edition of the game was criticized due to the script's translation feeling rushed and not very polished with some very glaring inconsistencies and mistakes strewn around. Fortunately, the eX+ version fixes many of these issues.
- Channel Hop: While the publishing rights to Cold Steel and Ys games were in the hands of XSEED Games at the time, the rights to this game went to Aksys Games instead. Notably, they manage to obtain the license for the Switch port (released in June 2024), despite Falcom's games now being licensed by NIS America.
- Invisible Advertising: Tokyo Xanadu ended up getting very little advertisement during its run, with hardcore Falcom fans being mostly the ones who have knowledge of the game.
- Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition:
- The original Japanese release of the Play Station Vita version includes a visual book, a mini soundtrack CD and rubber keychains of Kou and Asuka.
- The English release of the game includes an artbook, a soundtrack CD and a deck of cards based on the in-universe game Gates of Avalon. The original Play Station Vita release has a keychain of Morimiya's mascot Morimaru, while the eX+ version for the PlayStation 4 includes a statue of the White Shroud.
- No Dub for You: The English releases of both the original and eX+ only have the original Japanese vocal track.
- Pre-Order Bonus: The preorders of the Japanese and English release of the eX+'s Nintendo Switch version include a four disc collection of the game's soundtrack.
- Recycled Soundtrack: Terminal Room from The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero makes a comeback in Chapter 3 as Yuuki's house's BGM.
- Spoiled by the Merchandise:
- Some pre-release marketing materials◊ highlighted Gorou alongside the other seven main characters.
- A tie-in phone case merchandise◊ shows Gorou holding his Soul Device in his full X-Strike pose glory alongside Rion.
