• All-Star Cast: Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams are all very well known and that's not even including the people cut out of the film.
• Deleted Role: As par the course for a Terrence Malick film, many actors filmed scenes that never ended up in the final movie, including Rachel Weisz, Jessica Chastain, Michael Sheen, Michael Shannon, Amanda Peet, and Barry Pepper.
• What Could Have Been: Christian Bale was set to play Neil before he had to drop out and was replaced by Ben Affleck. Feel free to insert whatever joke you like. Bale would eventually star in a future Malick film, Knight of Cups.
