• Edited for Syndication:
  • While the PBS Kids airings incorrectly refer to Rusty as a female, this was fixed for the Tales from the Tracks DVD.
  • The title of the episode in the Japanese dub was originally "Tuneful Whistle", even though Rusty is a diesel and has a horn, not a whistle. This was corrected for the Thomas the Tank Engine Series 9 Vol.5 DVD.
• Out of Order:
  • This episode was produced as the eighth episode of Series 9.
  • This episode was aired before "Mighty Mac" in the Japanese dub, turning Mighty Mac's cameo in this episode into a Dub-Induced Plot Hole.
• What Could Have Been: Originally instead of Peter Sam and Rheneas taking a train of apples and pears, it was supposed to be Peter Sam and Duncan. Additionally, they were to travel the other way over the bridge.
