  • Children Voicing Children: In the Latin American Spanish dub of Novae, young Lucius is voiced by an actual child. (See below the reason why)
  • Crossdressing Voices: Played straight in the original Japanese, English and other language dubs of Novae, but averted in the Latin American Spanish dub, where all the male kid characters, including Lucius as a kid, are voiced by males. In that particular case this is justified, as the dub of the series was done in Colombia, and Colombian dubs traditionally avoid this trope as much as they can, up to the grade to cast an actual male child as young Lucius. note
  • No Dub for You: A rather specific example: In Novae, the live-action parts starring Mari Yamazaki, the original author, aren't dubbed in all the foreign language dubs... with the sole, odd exception of the Latin American Spanish dub. It should be noted, however, that the "dub" of those particular segments in that version are done via Voice Over Translation rather than a proper dub, possibly to give them a documentary-like feeling.
