Trivia / The Way (RPG Maker)

Go To

  • Creator Breakdown: Lun was definitely going through something when writing the epic Mind Screw that is Episode 6.
    • There are many hidden messages that can only be accessed by RPG Maker about a girl who "saved" the creator, only for him to "leave her crying", complete with the creator calling himself a fool.
    • There's also a hidden room with sad music only heard that one time, some child who "just wants to get back to sleep", and a man spouting depressing things about looking through a window every day and growing sadder and sadder each day. Looking at the window reveals it's an image of a young boy smiling.
    • The creator's Author Avatar also has some... "interesting" things to say about both himself and his work.
  • Follow the Leader: Takes many cues from the surreal, psychologically complex and Darker and Edgier anime and anime-inspired video games that were still popular around The Turn Of The Millennium after the Neon Genesis Evangelion wave, especially Final Fantasy VII. Psychologically tormented, Anti-Hero protagonist who struggles mightily with memory, identity, and self-realization, a story that grows gradually darker from a light-hearted opening after characters start dying, and of course a series of Gainax Endings.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The original plan included an episode retelling the past episodes from Lyrra's point of view, Episode 6 ending with Rhue entering the top cell of the Arm of Estrana, followed by an Episode 7, amongst other things.
    • Episode 4 contains a Dummied Out event branch during the mission to assassinate Zedicus, which indicate that at some point, it would be possible to have Lexus survive the night. If you have sufficient Relationship Values with Lexus, the scene will play out differently, with Lexus running down a different path, and Rhue instead killing a random Arastotzi goon. However, there aren't enough opportunities to earn points with Lexus for this to be possible, and even if you cheat to increase the variable and make the event play out this way, the following scenes don't take this into account.
