Trivia / The Shaggs

Go To

  • Colbert Bump: The Shaggs regained notoriety in the late 1980s and 1990s when a number of notable musicians, including Frank Zappa (who allegedly said they were "better than The Beatles"), Bonnie Raitt, and most notably Kurt Cobain, expressed their enjoyment of their music. Their album Philosophy of the World would be reissued by Red Rooster, a label owned by the band and fellow Shaggs fans NRBQ.
  • Creator Backlash: Partly since recording the music was not exactly a happy time for the Wiggins girls.
Betty (in 2011): To tell you the truth, I still don't think it's very good. [laughs]
