Trivia / The Secret Show

Go To

  • Acting for Two: At any given time, two or more characters on screen will be either voiced by Rob Rackstraw, Alan Marriott, or Kate Harbour, regardless of gender.
  • Celebrity Voice Actor: The show has a tendency of casting celebrities to play one-shot or minor characters, most notably the likes of Stephen Fry as Lucky Leo, Penelope Keith as Nana Poo Poo, and Tom Baker as Robert Baron.
  • Crossdressing Voices: If a female character is not voiced by Kate Harbour, she will probably be voiced by Rob Rackstraw or Jimmy Hibbert instead.
  • Descended Creator: Occasionally, writer Jimmy Hibbert will voice a character regardless of gender.
  • Fake American: Victor Volt and Kent B. Trusted, both of whom are American, are voiced by the Canadian-British Alan Marriott.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: When the episodes were brought over to the United States to air on Nicktoons Network in the late 2000s, they had to undergo some changes in order to appeal to the viewers. Notably, a couple episodes were re-dubbed for American audiences (for example, the episode "Bogie Ball" was re-titled "Booger Ball" and had all instances of "bogie" dubbed over). Most of the Nicktoons Network versions of the episodes are currently lost aside from old recordings off of people’s TVs.
  • Out of Order: Like many comedies of its ilk, The Secret Show doesn't have a particularly tight continuity, so this trope tends to go unnoticed more often than not. There are some exceptions, though:
  • No Export for You: The show was released on DVD, but only in the UK.
