- California Doubling: Filmed in Montreal, Quebec; the province of Quebec borders the state of New Hampshire, but it's a 260-mile, 4-hour drive between the two cities in Real Life.
- Dawson Casting: 20 year old Landry Bender is playing a teenager in high school.
- Fake American: Australian Luke Mitchell plays American Danny Cooper. Canadian Nicola Correia-Damude plays Alexis Whitmore, an American too.
- Queer Character, Queer Actor: Bisexual actress Nicola Correia-Damude plays Alexis Whitmore, who's having an affair with Amy "AJ" Johnson.
- Screwed by the Network: The series was not a great fit for The CW at all and was sent to die in the middle of the summer. It also was paired with lead-in shows that didn't at all fit the themes and vibes of the show and received very little advertising.
- Short-Runners: It only ran for one season between June and September 2021.
- What Could Have Been:
- The Republic of Sarah was initially developed for CBS, but was passed on by the network. The CW later picked it up and there were some changes made to better fit the channel's demographic, including aging down some of the characters.
- The original pilot was directed by Marc Webb and lead by actress Sarah Drew as Sarah Cooper, and also featured the actors Kirsten Nelson, James Lesure, and Kimberly Guerrero. Once The CW picked up the series, all the actors were recast by younger actors and production shifted from Vancouver to Montreal.
- Had the series been picked up for season 2, the show would've delved more into Tyler's Native background and indigenous people's history in Greylock.
- Luke Mitchell mentioned season two would've expanded upon Danny and Grover's platonic friendship.
