Trivia / The Raven (1963)

Go To

  • Harpo Does Something Funny: Lorre and Nicholson liked improvising their lines, which frustrated Karloff (who was a strictly-by-the-script type).
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: During his unsuccessful duel with Scarabus, Bedlo does a "Live Long and Prosper" salute, three years before Star Trek: The Original Series.
    • Given that both Peter Lorre and Leonard Nimoy were both Jewish, they both presumably got it from the same source—the priestly blessing occasionally done in Orthodox Jewish religious services
  • Never Work with Children or Animals: None of the cast liked working with the actual bird, since it would defecate on everyone.

  • Similarly Named Works: This is the second movie called The Raven that Boris Karloff starred in. The first was in 1935.
