Trivia / The Muppet Show Comic Book

Go To

  • Channel Hop: The Four Seasons arc was originally intended to be published by Boom! Studios like the rest of the main series, but was ultimately published by Marvel Comics after Boom lost the license.
  • Creator Backlash: As detailed on his blog, writer and illustrator Roger Langridge did not approve of the preview special re-purposing strips intended for Disney Adventures having the main story altered to include Sweetums singing a parody of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful". As such, the revision was not included when the story was reprinted in the omnibus collection of the comic.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Roger Langridge originally wrote and illustrated Muppet comics that were planned to be included in Disney Adventures. Because of the magazine's cancellation, only one strip saw the light of day and was included in the last issue. Some of the planned material ended up being published in the preview issue of this comic book as well as the omnibus collection of the entire series.
    • There were plans to feature an arc titled "Guest Stars", which would've involved Dr. Bunsen Honeydew creating an invention that could bring historical figures and literary characters to life for 24 hours. The story arc was planned to feature appearances by Hamlet, Sherlock Holmes, Cleopatra, Victor Frankenstein and Galileo Galilei. Ultimately, it was replaced with "Muppet Mash".
